Logitech G430 playing audio heavier on right side.
As the title says my headsets seem to be playing audio way to heavily from my right side. My drivers are up to date, it's a brand new headset, and it's a fresh install of ETS2. I played this game before on the same model headset and it was fine before now. Can anyone help?

Is it only this game you have the problem, or anything else?

The only thing that is imballanced as well is Farscape on Netflix seems to be a little right heavy, though I doubt that's my end cause Netflix plays audio normally for other things.

First of all, check your headphone settings to make sure that the balance is 50/50 for left and right, I know you said they're knew, but if we can eliminate things we can narrow it down.

Also, do your headphones have any buttons on? Sometimes these buttons can be to adjust the bass, or even be hot keys, but they can also adjust the left/right balance.

There is a chance that as they're new, they might also be faulty, but I'd hope that isn't the case.

Considering it's only happening for one game?

Not sure you're ever going to get satisfaction. Did some googling on this and there are MANY users of that model and other Logitech headphones having that right-heavy problem with various games/software. And no one seems to know why, not even Logitech. Has something to do with the surround sound processing. If you set it to stereo it will work fine, but surround goes heavy on the right.

Yeah, I looked around a lot too. I was just hoping that someone may have stumbled apon something that wasn't shared yet.

All the .ogg files I've seen to do with truck noises are mono recordings. If the software doesn't "split" the mono signal to L and R before it sends to output, and you plug in a pair of stereo headphones, you'll only hear the L (or R) channel. Traditionally the L.

If the games that are showing right-heavy issues are mono, maybe that's where the problem is. It could be something weird like the manufacture of the left speaker driver in the headset was faulty on a couple hundred thousand sets :) Quality control. Oops.

When you say you played ETS2 before on the same model headset and there was no problems, do you still have that particular headset?

It was the same model, but the swivel peice snapped so I had to throw it out. I think before I threw it out the game decided to have the same problem with that set as well I just ignored it cause music in the background.

Have/had the same problem. Only game that I nottice s while im in the cab, I can only hear the engine out of the right ear. Just went into the Logitech software and notticed the dolby surround sound was off, turned it back on and it sounded fine for now. Gonna give it a bit to test out.

When you say 'headset', is this one of the models that has a mic stalk as well? or is it just a standard pair of headphones?
If you have a Logitech surround-sound system..
When you plug this headset in, do you plug it in to the sound-card? or do you plug it in to the headphone output on your Logitech sound system?

I've got a Turtle Beach headset for the PS3 which is louder in the right channel which I have not found a fix for, very annoying. I ended up placing a tissue in the offending earpiece which dumbed it down enough to balance it out enough to be passable.

It worked! I didn't know that that was turned off. Thanks a lot!

That's strange. Mono signals should go to both sides. Regardless of surround sound being on or off. Oh well, glad you got it fixed :)

On the bright side, now they've fixed the problems on logitech's side. I had to reinstall their software to actually update it.
