Also, do your headphones have any buttons on? Sometimes these buttons can be to adjust the bass, or even be hot keys, but they can also adjust the left/right balance.
There is a chance that as they're new, they might also be faulty, but I'd hope that isn't the case.
If the games that are showing right-heavy issues are mono, maybe that's where the problem is. It could be something weird like the manufacture of the left speaker driver in the headset was faulty on a couple hundred thousand sets :) Quality control. Oops.
If you have a Logitech surround-sound system..
When you plug this headset in, do you plug it in to the sound-card? or do you plug it in to the headphone output on your Logitech sound system?
