Another sad thing here, and I'm not saying you are lying but a ton of people report issues and claim no mods just so they will get help then it turns out when they post a logfile they got a ton of mods.
I'm not sure how it would just disapear unless you deleted your save files or something. Have you perhaps accidently loaded an earlier save? autosave or something? THat said, the autosaves should not be old enough to go back that far unless you at some point disabled autosaves.
I had 1 mod, wich was modifiying the HDR setttings. I removed it a while ago but still had my garages/drivers.
Maybe it's an earlier save... but where would be my latest one?

If you've switched computers sometime you will have lost what was done on the other computer. There is no cloud save, it's only local save in your Profiles

usually there is one profile backup /patch.
I didnt delete anything... yet there is 10 months missing....
I used to mod heavily, now I dont do that as much because there is so often an issue with the mods or having to wait for ages for a broken map mod to be fixed ^^
One thing I'd advice as I always do, play a profile up to a good level, 25 - 35, then if you mod, back it up, store it on google drive or what ever, and then IF you have an issue you can always go back and not loose too much. When you get past a point, like having 4 - 5 garages you make so much money anyway nothing really matters much after that ;)
I just sold all my trucks to relocate and restructure. Moving to Sweden! ;P
no, the game updates never touch your profile folder. If something happened to the file, it was on your end unfortunately.. Do you have multiple profiles? maybe playing the wrong one? Sorry I don't have a real answer for you.
