How to?
When i use realistic settings such as the need to warm up your engine, how long is this going to take???

Do you intend to wait with the engine idling to mimic warming it up ?
Because there is no such " realistic settings " so I wonder.

Well this is quite a problem. There is an option where you can enable/disable engine heatup. But this took 5 minutes and then i disabled it again. But how long is this actually going to take?

Are you referring to the option to Enable/Disable "Automatic engine and electricity start"? Because what that does is allow your engine and electrics to come on when you hit the gas pedal when the truck is off. Nothing to do with warming up the engine; there is no option for that.

In real life, it generally only take's a few minutes. But that also depends on how cold it is outside. The colder it is, the longer the warm up will take.

Yes i am. But it still takes some time for something to startup.

It takes a few seconds either way you set it. With it off you must hit 'E' to start the truck (or whatever key you bind). That's the difference. Again, this has nothing to do with warming up the engine...

The only thing that prevents your truck from starting up is the air brake pressure, as far as I know.

Thats the one i had to mention.

This "Air Brake Pressure" does prevent my truck from starting up, but how long is it going to take to start up or do i need to press a key?
Dmny May 20, 2015 @ 9:43am
It usually takes a few minutes based on my experience, but it's an issue that's caused by repeatedly slamming the brake (I'm lacking mechanical knowledge on how trucks operate but that's what I noticed), you won't have to wait every time you start your truck.

You just have to wait with the engine running for a few minutes (something like 2-3 minutes, maybe 5 at most).

Welp. I can't play right now but ill see if it works. Ill come back later to post results. Thanks so far!

Ok, that's the confusion. You lost air pressure and so had to wait while the engine idled and built up enough air pressure to allow the brakes to release. Gotcha.

And that would be the "Air brakes simulation" option, not the "Auto engine and electricity start". :)

Press your gas-pedal slightly to increase the RPM of the engine which built up air pressure faster.

Too much backing and forwarding when collecting/dropping off loads, esp the latter, will lose your air pressure very quick.
