Aux lights on roof and front............
I noticed that recently they are not bright at all. I thought it was a mod issue, removed all mods and still the ligjts look like this.

2 things you have to do. You have to hit f4 and check the boxes for the aux lights. Once that's done, turn on your hi-beams/brights. the aux lights really only work with the hi-beams. When it's just your normal lights, they just barely glow like that.

I have the boxes checked and normally these lights are on I have other pictures with other trucks with them on. With out high beams on.

No, it doesn't work like that, never has.

Like Margalus said, box checked, lights on and high beams enabled for full illumination.

Again I say it has I am not new to the game. I have had aux lights that were on when I turned on headlights with out Highbeams, and no it was not a mod.

If you mean the aux lights actually illuminate with the headlights, then yes, I see that too. But I think it also depends on the brand of aux light? I've noticed that the Illuminator LEDs come on like parking light brightness, and go to full brightness with high beam.. whereas, the 'square' or 'rectangular' headlights (I forget the name of them) are dark until you hit the highbeam.
Is that what you mean?

On a slightly different tack, I'd like to see a separate switch for activating auxillary lights. ie not have them automatically come on with highbeam, but operated separately. Same as the highbeam stalk.. you can turn the highbeams on, without the lightswitch on, and the highbeam comes on when you turn the light switch on. Or you can turn off the highbeam, with the headlights still on. In my country it is illegal to not have a separate switch for driving lights (ie aux lights).

How come the "front" and "roof" aux lights are always disabled after visiting a repair shop?

Agreed on the switch operation of those lights. Also it is the lumen lights that look dim and not on when they are on. I have noticed going through the in game photos it appears as updates came out the lighting would change. They would be bright then next update back to dim. So i was right in thinking this update went back to dim.

Just checked my aux lights. They follow the headlights settings, as in " light up with the parking lights in dimmed mode; doesn't change with the low beams (still dimmed); go full bright with the high beams ". The only way I could achieve that picture in the 1st post is unchecked boxes.

PS 1 : the roofs's & fronts's are unchecked if you do some changes (paintjob or parts & accessories), not if you do a repair, same for the dashboard computer.

PS 2 : it's " without ", not " with out "

Well, I wish those pesky mechanics would stay the hell away from my lights when all I've done is change tyres. Harrumph.

I don't see why anyone would want any aux lights anyway because the stock headlights, when high beams are on, are far too unrealistically bright in the first place. With high beams AND aux lights, the landscape looks like you have the sun strapped to the roof of your truck. Ugly and fake!

I put 23 extra lights on my truck. I like to see that the road is curving off to the left up ahead. Half a kilometer away... :P

Okay, to say this in 1 time: When you buy your own truck, go to the menu (Esc) you will see a "Cabin adjustments" (something in that way okay) there you will see lights options. Enable all of them. After that, go driving. Press O, press K and you will be like you were before. Now press K to activate the extra lights.

O activates the beacon. K activates the hi-beams

have to use full beam
Max Klinger May 20, 2015 @ 11:52am
Or download a mod that has lights that actually are bright when not using high beams. Like the HellaLuminatorLED light mod in the pics below

http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=446112443

Those pics are with the aux lights from the mod and they are not selected as on in the F4 window. That is how they look with just turning on the headlights on low beams.
