(Linux) Logitech Driving Force pro Force Feedback

Hi, I'm having problems with force feedback on my steering wheel, can anyone help?

The Logitech force feedback driver is incomplete. I'm working on it. But even with full hardware support, the ff doesn't feel natural.

I don't have any force feedback at all. Just tried it on my sisters computer running 12.04 and still the same result.

have you downloaded the driver from the website and updated it all? I have some feedback but i lowered it until i get use to mine i got today

Where can I find the driver? Can post a link? I've tried to find one, but I'm not having any luck.

I don't think lilgit90 quite understand how thinks work with Linux drivers.

The modified driver that I made is mentioned in the comments on my profile. It's not exactly current, but it's support is similar to Windows. However, it requires you to be able to build new kernel drivers by hand, which is not something for casual users. When I'm done with a new test version, I could use a bit of help from testers. Especially those that run games on both Windows and Linux.

How can I sort this? I'm just a casual ubuntu user, but i can use the terminal for commands with good guidance.

Since you run the same system as I do, I can supply you with a binary module when I'm done with the new test version. I'm actually looking for somebody that can compare the Windows behaviour against that of the new Linux driver.

If you're looking for more testers, I can help. :) It has been a few years since I compiled my own kernel drivers (back in the Slackware days was the last time), but I'm sure I'll manage.

I have a G27 wheel and run Ubuntu 12.04 (64 bit). I should have a Windows 7 (64 bit) installation around here, but I haven't booted to it for about eighteen months (it should still work, though).

@Edwin any update on your driver? If you need a tester or some help, just let me know. it's been a while since the last time I compiled the kernel, but I can do it again if that helps you with the testing.
