ets 2 mod installing

I've read the forum on how to install the mods but still no luck. can anybody help?

Put your mod in XXX > My documents > ETS2 > mod folder.

What steeps you followoed before?

ive tried going through the library way and that didnt work and ive also tried going into properties through steam and doing it that way and that didnt work either. im new to all this so excuse the dumbness

Download mod for latest ver (1.6.2s) from the internet, unzip them and then drag the .scs file into the mod folder and edit my profile in game and enable one by one.

If you want to install a mod(s) for ETS2. follow these's steps!
Before you install mods you will need winrar.

Without it. It will come out has a RAW file. It needs to come out has a SCS file!

BEFORE you install mods backup your profile or it will break your save file or the game itself!
So just be careful.[u/]

1.Pick a mod.
2.Open the file.
3.Drag the file in your mod folder.
4.Start up ETS2.
5.Click on edit. On any profile.
6.tick the box to which mod you want to install.
7.Then press apply.
8.Start up your profile.
9.If done correctly the mod should be in your game!

I'm trying to do this on a apple macbook air

Make sure the mod is for the 'game version' you are playing. Incompatability=issues/mod not working etc.

Hi, can someone help me with installing mods like: " Excavator with wider crawlers ets2" or "Trailer with crawler crane mod 1.27 ets2" ? I know how to install the common map mods, pro mods etc, but his two are strange for me. THe structure after download and unzip is:

def folder (folder and SII files inside)
model folder (folder and MAT and DDS files inside)
unit folder (folder and SII files inside)
vehicle folder (folders and PMD, PMC ..., MAT, DDS, OBJ files inside)
manifest.sii file SII

Second question is, what to do if I would llike to install both mods and the manifest.sii files are in both mods with the same name (maybe also other files are the same).

Sounds like those two mods don't need to be unpacked. Just place the .zip files into the mod directory and you should be fine.

Tnx for replay, I tried. If you copy the zip file into mod folder, it doesn ´t work, but if you unzip and copy into this folder, you can see it in the game and activate, but seems I still can not find the trailers in the offer of load.
