But - you can try it out and see what you prefer.
i think not i will wait for someone to tell me what happened for them cos if it went bottems up for them i would rather learn by their experiences iv'e had enough of my own not through any fault of the games but by my lack of pc knowledge ..
Devs don't design for the myriad of displays that are out there that all perform differently. Reshades can turn what you think is a crap display into something heavenly.
They avoid a lot of work to make both games look like they are.
Both games suffer from the old engine and even some shader effects like reshade won't help much.
What is called ultra in both games is nowadays medium.
So yeah.... they did an awesome job letting these games look like they are: outdated as f since years.
Chances they release all states for ATS before having an update engine are more than high.
You can improve the game a tiny bit by shaders.
For more SCS must finally update their engine but since they fail since years on doing that... good luck whilst waiting.
Meanwhile modders rework the rendering and make money with it.
Money SCS should be making. But it seems they don't care.
So for shaders... a turd remains a turd, even if you paint it golden.
No idea what exactly you think what could happen when you use it....
But you wont brake the game in any way as those Filters (could be incorrect) are processed on the nvidia App overlay.
not a case of thinking i could break the game more my mind with the multiple combinations, iv'e spent a year tweaking game settings and with every tweak it often alters something else and then its about temptation as when i think "that's as good as i can get with this" i cannot resist a tweak just in case it gets a teeny bit better and the loop of frustration starts lol
I know a big priority when i leave the house is to avoid turds so to avoid a possible big clean up I will give them a miss on my computer as i quite like the old style feel like its an arcade game rather then a computer generated enhanced graphic game where it looks "real" .. i don't want "real" i want a game
Not really. Since displays are hardware their hardware specs cannot be changed via software. It can maybe improve a little here and there on graphics in certain games but that’s about it. A crap display will always be a crap display.
Just throw the rest of us under the bus. 🤣
hows it throwing you under the bus..i wanted a few who had used it to tell me the pro's and cons they had had ..0 users is not a few and your safe as the bus would stutter and freeze before it hit you
I only used it a few years ago....to see if it works with the game at all.
But, depending on what exactly you try to achieve with it (which btw. you not mentioned at all) it might not be the best thing to use, as it is (as i mentioned) just an overlay.
Maybe a poor choice of words. Just try it out and see if it’s something that works for you. No guts - no glory.
I don’t believe they avoid anything. If you compare current UK to the Alps or Balkan there is a huge difference. There are more and more scenery looking better and better - giving a fantastic experience with that local feel when driving around different countries or states.
Graphics need to serve its purpose. This is a driving game/simulator about trucks. I like how ETS2 and ATS have their own look. And I think the updated and reworked areas complement the trucking experience well.
I’ve tried other driving simulators based on the Unreal engine - and that was not a good experience. These games actually looks like crap in my opinion. I believe SCS is on the right track.
We still have a bigger graphics update to look forward to. One that hopefully will bring better performance for many. And maybe that little extra that will take the overall quality of the graphics to a new level. But time will tell and only SCS knows what’s actually cooking.
