I am on PC, with a wheel and sequential/manual shifting.
Some use wheels and H-shifters, some controllers, some mouse and keyboard.
Some play on an old notebook, some on a highend PC with utlrawide or triple monitors.
Some play with VR, eye-tracker, etc.
The more you add for realism the more "realism" you will get.
Afaik, modern trucks often use automatic. So that's not unrealistic.
If you can enjoy the game with your setup, everything is fine.
There is no wrong or right.
