Weird clicking/popping sound
I've got some random clicking/popping sound when i'm driving.

It's like that with all my saves, whatever trucks i drive.

It's happen really randomly (it can be will i break, accelerate, turn or whatever).

I don't have a recording of that. But it really tickles my ADHD. And sometimes it's happening multiple times in few minutes.

It's really annoying. Does someone have an explanation or a solution that don't require to turn off all the sound of the game?

P.S: I'm sure it's from the game and not my PC/setup because I don't have it with other games

Same here. It's a bug in the game.

do you have cb radio turned off in audio?
There is a bug report here: https://forum.scssoft.com/viewtopic.php?t=338398

It's still inconclusive on where it's coming from

i have somethinglike that too sometimes. its mostly a single click and its farily random. it doesnt happen very often though so i don't worry about it. i thought it might be a sound effect like a stone hitting the windsheild. i don't know.
I've been hearing this too and my take is that it is environmental (ie. not to do with anything happening with the truck or in the cab)

Since this sound appears anywhere in the country side at random - my bet is also that it is some environmental sound that's not played back correctly or a sound sample gone wrong.

Pretty sure what you're referring to is the sound they put in to simulate the sound of a pebble/rock hitting the truck while driving around smaller roads.

A small stone can hit the windscreen on any road, so I guess that it is possible. Not a great sound effect if that is the case - sounds more like someone clicking their tongue softly or popping a single piece of bubblewrap.

Any sound-mod(s) installed?
In my case I am playing completely vanilla (my profile has never had anything other than SCS supplied content on it) and the only pertinent bit of information might be that I play with voice navigation turned off in ETS2.

No sound mod install.

It's true I get it most of the time in the country side. But sometimes it's happening in the city too. I can go like 150km wihtout hearing it and sometimes I can have it like 10 times in 20km

Found this thread, looking for an answer to those occasional popping sounds that came up after the recent updates. "p-sh-sh"...

I get them driving both on asphalt and on country roads, slowly and at speed. Can't make any connection with the conditions that might cause it.

The way I visualise this sound, is as if someone opens a tin can of soda, so maybe it's just that - you as a driver taking a drink while on the move?

We covered this. It’s a coffee issue. 🤣

Anyway - I have heard the sound while parked some were remote. I think it’s some sort of nature sound that is not played back correctly.
