Looking for a “normal car” mod with decent physics
Hey everyone, I’m new to ETS2 and its modding scene.

I’m looking for a mod that lets me drive a regular car (like a sedan or SUV) with the most realistic physics possible. I’m aware the game is built around trucks, but are there any mods that do a decent enough job of simulating a normal car? It can even be a combination of mods (car model + physics tweaks) if needed.

The specific make or model of the car doesn’t matter much, as long as the driving experience is somewhat realistic.

There are literally tens of thousands of mods for this game, so it can get a bit overwhelming for a newcomer to browse through them all.

I'm using a wheel, in case that matters.

Any suggestions would be appreciated—thanks!

It's not possible, carmods use the truckphysik
If you want to drive a car, why not get a car simulator?
Get a very sporty car. From those you often can expect standard car behaviour. Years ago had a BMW M5 mod. It did not drive very M5-ish but at least did not crash in every curve at normal car speeds like all the Range Rover, Mercedes E300 and Audi A7 mods of the time did.

So I have recently tried 90% of all car mods available online, on a quest to find the best one in terms of quality and so far the best cars are the VW's from Quality3DMods here on Steam workshop. Best texture quality, everything works properly, handles best, sounds best. They both feel almost like developer made, almost. His remake of Toyota SW4 is not terrible either, but it has the original texture polygon glitches and little annoying engine sound. Apart from that, the TruckersMP's Skoda Superb on Steam Workshop by Robi, but it hasn't been updated to 1.53 so it could be abandoned now, and I could also recommend the Toyota Land Cruiser 2022 from websites like ETS2MODS.LT, although the interior lighting is still not implemented in this one. But Quality3DMods are still best in all aspects and have some accesory customization as well, with companions.

I mean the old VW's, Gol Quadrado and Voyage Turbo, not the poorly made Amarok. Cheers.

First thing that comes to my mind is the size of the map. Heck, I know I would be more than interested about a car game / simulator that has map size equal or larger than ETS2. I hear that Crew Motorfest has a decent map, but it covers only small part of Germany & neighboring countries, I believe. The Crew 2 has whole USA, but it's very heavily scaled down, not talking about 1:19 or anything like that here, also graphics not very great either.

EDIT: Fancy grammar stuff (per usual)

The only purpose I get from driving a car in this game is to explore all the tiny road segments to get 100% exploration of the map. It's more practicle with a small vehicle.
But physics will never suit such vehicle in the game unless SCS change things about it. Maybe someday they will add lighter vehicles like vans but I doubt so. As far as I know, it's totally not even planned.

Like everytime I want to look for something, I check google or such...
Also on many ETS2 mods websites, there's a "car" section, or you can find cars in the "truck" section. Anyway it's pretty easy to find.
