calibration fail after game use
Hi guys had steam for several years now but this is the first post iv ever done ,normally i can solve problems with the games i have but this ones baffled me. i bought a new steering wheel for euro Truck sim 2. i bought a pxn v900 Gen 2 it was cheap and like everyone else of working class i'm skint right now this is all i could afford . i have calibrated this following pxn directions from the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ website and watched others do it online it worked great for the first 20 mins. as an ex truck driver i enjoyed this game. but this wheel is driving me nuts.

So all calibrated works excellent then out the blue with no no notice at all the steering wheel in game throws its self to the left in the game and i hit the side of the road damaging my truck and goods and i can't figure it out why is it behaving like this.

there is no save settings i thought it might be a force feed back error but i switched this off as it has no force feedback.

can anyone give me advise something I've done wrong why all of a sudden would it do this while driving. please help i don't want to have to wait to long to get back in to the game. i'll try anything at this point. thank you in advance

Check your Windows Power settings, to make sure Windows is not turning off the USB port for "power-saving mode".

USB Power has it's own settings .. it doesn't hurt to check them.

Or try a different USB-connector on the computer.
Some devices doesnt like 3.0 or vice versa.
Try using a USB port directly into the motherboard, not a hub, extension cable or case USB port. Make sure that the USB cable hasn't been "pinched" or trapped and the conductors haven't been damaged. The time it takes for it to malfunction sounds more like a Windows problem, or a power problem than anything else. Try testing by leaving it plugged in and not playing the game, is it still detected and calibrating after over half an hour?
Hi guys
Thanks everyone who responded I appreciate everything you suggested. Ok guys I have sorted this I say that with a pinch of salt.

Ok here goes I deleted everything from the PC start all over again when you first hook everything up a warning comes up about a mouse . You'll get two options I always use to press ignore this is wrong I tried "just for fun" to press the mouse select then took on a job Amsterdam to Edinburgh. I got all the way there trouble free (I hope I haven't just jinxed myself). It seemed to work the steering wheel stayed where it was supposed to and I finally got to relax and enjoy the game. I hope this helps others on the forum. I can't tell you how happy I am it's been a whole week sorting this and I just had a stroke 4 weeks ago. This really tested my patients.

Again a huge thank you to all who replyed. I'll cross my fingers for the rest of the month and hope I don't even have to go through that again. Nightmare ! Over. Message to PXN your steering wheels are the hardest things I've ever had to set up in my life.
