Out of fuel! Help

I ran out of fuel on a country road. I thought calling rescue would fix it, but they just got me to destination. But I am still empty!
How do I get some fuel in the tanks?

if you get the wrecker and repair it puts some fuel in

You may want to go into options and turn off real fuel consumption simulation till you can get fuel

You get a small amount of fuel using the rescue, you need to stop at a fuel station to fill up.

That only switch from variable fuel consumption to fixed fuel consumption, it doesn't remove it.

You can use a little trick. Open My documents - Euro truck simulator 2, find 'config.cfg' - open it.
Find g_developer (Uset g_developer) and make it from "0" to "1".
Find g_flyspeed - make it 30.0 - 50.0
Save file and start game. When game is loaded and you will see your truck on the road - save the game, then press "0" - you will get a free cam. Fly to the gas station and position the camera so that it was like a truck at the gas pump, but as close as possible to the ground so the truck is not damaged when prompted - press F9 then "1" or "2" (to change camera wiev) and start refueling.

11/10 would run out of fuel to use this guide again!

Thanks for all that.
Mixed messages. I will try and start as I used rescue. I assumed as the guage was still looking like zero that I still had no fuel. But maybe I doi have a drop to get me to a gas station.
