In the BIG cities: 30-40 FPS even with LOWEST settings
Out of cities: stable 60 FPS even with HIGHEST settings
And about 50 FPS in the small sities
AMD A10-6800K + Radeon R9 280
CPU usage: 45% (2 of 4 cores)
GPU usega: 60% (all settings HIGH/ULTRA, 100% scale, no MLAA)
Both is underloaded, but only 49-51 FPS. Because of insuficient core performance.
If you have a multi-core / multi-threaded CPU, edit ETS 2 affinity to only use one core (or one thread), my i5 goes from below 15-25% up to 60-75% if I do that.
Any FPS boost?
ok i may have found a fix. ( it seems to have worked for me )
i have played about 2 hours since trying this and so far my fps has been solid 60fps and in cities only drop to 52-55.
1. set my graphics to ultra in the simple settings.
2. then went to advanced settings and changed the 3 mirror settings to medium.
3. CTRL+ALT+DEL to task manager and set the priority to realtime and the affinity to use the first two cores. (0+1).
i have made 4 deliveries in 4 different cities and so far its solid, it has not rained yet so cant say what that will be like.
if this helps post back here so others may get help also.
i really really hope this helps all with this problem.
EDIT. you will have to CTRL+ALT+DEL to set priority and affinity in task manager everytime you play.
unless someone knows a way to set it permanently.
EDIT. it started raining on last delivery and fps dropped to 48 - 52 so i changed the weather quality to high instead of ultra. now 60fps even when its raining.
Sadly it doesn't work for me. Tried several times.
sorry to hear that mate!
Instead of doing this manually which really can lead to an unstable system regarding setting sth to "realtime"-priority isn't such a good idea I used the Freeware Parkcontrol which basically does the same plus lets you set your cores to "no-hibernation" mode.

Helped me with some performance issues, though ETS2 simply is badly optimized. That's the reason for me I don't play it anymore, because I get too frustrated seeing my rig struggle when it does well on the other hand with titles like GTA V etc.
Well, I had my time of joy with it for several hundreds hours of driving
Take care. ;)
i7 4790k,8GB (1833 Mhz) ram, gpu R9 290 from xfx underclocked from factory(980mhz) , at full HD all maxed out except the crowd is of and hdr+dof too. running the last public beta and get 100+ everywhere, in scandinavia dlc cities between 80-100. even had to set vsync on to 100 fps or it runs loud and hot...no mods
