stop updates

Hi all,...how can i stop the updates........on the 1.17 version did i had very nice mods ....now i have 1.18 version ....and some of the mods are gone..

So....you want SCS to stop updating the game? So that your mods never break?? LOL

You can go back to an earlier version if you really want to. But if you roll back to 1.17 you won't be able to run Scandinavia or any other future DLC.

To revert back to an earlier version, go into your Steam Library and right-click on the ETS2 title. Choose Properties, then select the Betas tab. The top box is a drop-down selection list where you can choose any of the previous versions.

Stop improving the game so your unsupported 3rd party mods work? No thanks, I want SCS to keep improving the game and making it better.

You should be asking the mod creators to update the mods to work with the new version.

He didn't said " stop updating the game ", he said " how can i stop update ".

And the mods for 1.17 work on 1.18, there wasn't enough specific changes to brake them.
(NB: as far as my 30 mods are concerned, either map, trucks or trailers)

the map mods have changed saince 1.18 but as far as I know the three big map mods are all updated now

oh and my other mods... trailers by jazzycat etc work fine

you can't stop the updates, you can only decide when they happen. Selecting a version prior to the current version, as stated above, is the way to hold off auto-updates.
You can choose to have the game update automatically, or update when you play the game, or update this game before others.

Thanks guys for all the reply,.....i think that i have to live with it....and searching for new mods.....i had mods from the begin 1.11 version till 1.17 ......perhaps the mods between these versions are lost....thanks again!!Ed

I'm not sure if the modders retain previous versions?

You can keep ETS2 from updating or even go back to a previous update. Under the Betas tab in priorities you can choose a specific update. For instance you can set it to the current update by picking temporary_1_18_01_03.
