Euro Truck Simulator 2
Further improved stutters, Intel
EDIT: THIS IS NOT A POST TO INSTALL DTT - BEST CASE SCENARIO IS TO NEVER INSTALL THE DRIVER SO YOU WONT BE FORCED TO ENABLE IT - GOOGLE SAYS DTT CAN CAUSE PROBLEMS

This is for 13th and 14th gen Intel CPUs. I think my problem was that I had Dynamic Tuning Technology (APO) driver installed but not enabled in the BIOS. I went in the bios and typed it in search, enabled DTT then saved and exited. I then reinstalled the DTT driver just in case. I installed the Intel Application Optimizer on the Microsoft store to see if it was enabled and it was. My stutters have cut down even more and I am back to using Nvidia framerate cap at 70.

Thank you for posting that. I will look into it. Do you have an ASUS mobo?

Yes I have Asus and I have to underclock my 14900k to 5.5+1or2 instead of letting it boost to 6.1 or I get game crashes.

If you have to do the same underclock as me double check after switching the clock that multicore enhancement stays off. That is what ruined my 13900k last year. I got a free 14900k but still had a problem. When I used a 14700k in between there were no clock issues.

I enabled DTT in the BIOS and installed the driver. However - I didn't see an improvement. My i7-13700KF is not fully supported and the Intel Application Optimization app does not support ETS2. So that is probably why.

My CPU already runs stock settings with Multicore Enhancement and Intel Adaptive Boost Technology both disabled so I don't fry it.

It was worth a try and thanks for posting.

If you read my post I said that the bug was having DTT installed but not enabled. My fix was to enable DTT if you experience stutters. THIS IS NOT A POST TO INSTALL DTT
Hey - calm down.

I decided to try it out anyway to see if it would make a difference. It doesn't in my case for the reasons I have stated.
Claiming that your "solution" is for 14th and 13th gen Intel cpu's is not specific enough. Read this: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000095419/processors.html

The problem is that it only adds performance to about 12 boring games. And Intel promised to add to that but never did. Another reason why I will scrap Intel next build.

Yes, Intel has made Dynamic Tuning Technology (DTT) and the accompanying Application Optimization (APO) software available for 13th generation Core processors. This was an extension of DTT and APO, which were initially designed for the 14th generation. Specifically, a new DTT driver and a BIOS update are required to fully enable APO on 12th and 13th generation CPUs.

APO is enabled but not bringing anything to ETS2 as we agree on because the game is not supported.
I still believe that the game needs further optimization. I just wonder when SCS will get it done. I’ve had stutter since 1.46 when I was gaming via GeForce NOW on my Mac. Back then it was very little. When the game was upgraded to 1.50 and gaming on my PC things got worse. Just did a run from reworked Germany to northern Denmark which has not been updated. Once I entered Denmark there was no stutter whatsoever. Graphics in Denmark are very basic compared to Germany but still.

I agree on the choice of CPU brand. I will not go Intel the next time either.
I still random stutter. I am still hunting the cause. I have been getting random stutter for years in ats and ets2. My problem was I been on 11700k, 13900k,14700k, 14900k. I am thinking the whole problem is my Intel builds. And iffy drivers.

The game is not optimized since 1.50
