Significant drop in graphics performance following update 1.54
I'm experiencing a significant drop in graphics performance following the 1.54 update on my 14” MacBook Pro M2. Has anyone else had the same experience? It's a shame, version 1.53 ran very well even with the graphics set to Ultra.

I am also experiencing a significant framerate drop after the update on my 13" Macbook Air M1 which is a bit disappointing
And supposed that performance issues would be fixed with 1.54...im gonna stick to 1.53 for awhile
no problem here on my i5 14600K and my 3060 12gb card ;)

Same thing on my macbook pro M1 16" (sequoia 15.4). Even dropping settings to low resolution and quality didn't help much (and I can not play with such settings because it looks like it's 2000's again :D).
same thing for mac mini m4 which is barely playable now. launching with -bullet doesn't seems to help

Take a look at the 1.54 bug reports for ATS and ETS2 in the SCS Forum.
It seems like you are not the only ones having this issue.
You can also file a bug report there to help the devs if you like and if you expierence it on a vanilla profile (read the bug report instructions).

For the time beeing you can revert back to 1.53.
Right-click the game in the steam library, select properties - betas and select "temporary 1.53.... " there.

Please report that issue on the SCS Forum. Nothing we can do anything about it here.

However, if it isn't a Mac with Apple silicon then you don't have the same issue and it is more likely down to your graphic settings being too high.
I also have problems that I didn't have with version 1.53. The game doesn't run as smoothly as before, now it's slow and jerky, it speeds up and then stops. All mods are disabled. How do I go back to version 1.53?

Thanks every one for the feedback... I hope this will help the dev to solve this problem in a future update.

SCS are aware of the cause and are working on a fix. Could be days or weeks before it's released though.
Same issue here. Hackintosh i7-13700 + AMD RX6600. Played smoothly under 1.53 with 4K ultra options. Now 1.54 unbearably jerky!

You're using a 1080p at best GPU for 4k?
