Driving Academy

Is this driving academy obligatory? i had a break and came back to find this driving academy which i am not interested in at all but seems theres no way around it, i have over a 1000 hours driving on ETS and don't need this, just manna load up n drive is that to much to ask? please let me know if there is a way around it, thanks

No, you don't have to do it. Not sure why you think it is. Just load your profile.

I think that SCS should have made the base game better. There is a lot that could have been
done, rather than spend time on something, that is not really much use.
SCS even say it is not intended to replace in cab training, so why bother.

It's primarily for new players, especially those new to the simulation genre.

Nope, completely optional. Just click Continue Career. Although, in the next update, completing the Driving Academy will reward you a paintjob and a cabin accessory.

Driving Academy is a fun initiative but it’s not something that the game needed in my opinion. You learn to drive in the game without Academy.

I also think that SCS needs to invest their efforts in the base game and improve what needs to be improved. There is still a lot to be desired. New trucks and maps won’t do it alone.

Personally I started playing a few month ago with no experiance in this game (a lot in racing games though). irl i have a truckers licence, but never used it, so no road experiance. I did the whole academy and it helped me a lot in the actual game world. It was a pain to get the exam, but also a great challange and i loved it. I can imagine if you have a lot of experiance in the game world, you don't need it.
