Benefits of garages without drivers?
Are there any benefits of buying garages if you don't hire drivers?

I don't hire drivers because I can earn money with my own driving and do not need to earn them fast than that.

But other than act as a base for hired drivers, what can you get out of having own garages here and there?

i run Scanias, but i leave one spot free for a different make.
The benefit of garages (with or without drivers) is that you can fast travel to them. And if you upgrade them fully you can also fill up on fuel there. Not to mention that you can also rest there.

benefit of owning garage without drivers:
-space for your different trucks: (normal cargo, heavy cargo, long cargo, different brands, different models, different accessories-paint) nice for: convoy "dresscode"
-location/parking for your trailers.
-fully upgraded garage: cheaper fueling at garage (+ more space for trucks)

Not exclusive:
-Rest and does it repair too ?? not sure, but it's garage so I hope so.
If you don't own a garage but have discovered the city, you fast travel to city truck-garage where you can rest & repair anyway so it's not exclusive.

it doesn't get more obvious than that (*that is if: if you already fully upgraded 1 garage, and already own several personal trucks & trailers).

Buying everything you can ever so slightly slows down being too rich for your own good. Which happens sooner or later if you hire all the available drivers.
I upgrade unused garages so I have access to cheap fuel.
Not all cities have local filling stations
It also means I can fill up before starting jobs, although with 1400l tank don't need to fill too often :steamhappy:

One benefit of owning several garages is that you can travel there instantly, using the driver manager to relocate yourself.

This ^^^^ , I tend to buy them all for just that reason. Start a trip from anywhere you'd like.
I can see the benefit of being able to fast travel to a garage, although I've never done so in more than a thousand hours of driving in ETS2, and being able to change trailers in a variety of locations strikes me as a good reason to have garages scattered around the map (and is something I've taken advantage of when looking for hard to find jobs). I've also slept in many of the garages I own, although generally there is somewhere else nearby, but why does cheap fuel come up every time this gets asked?

Buying and upgrading a single garage costs a grand total of €280,000 and you save how much per tank of fuel? 15% ,which even with a DAF XG+ size tank would take you about two thousand refuelling visits to recoup.

I don't have any fully upgraded garages yet but I'd see the fuel discount as a nice bonus if you can fill slots 4 and 5 with trucks and/or drivers. Do your paper work, sleep and fill-up with fuel before driving to next job.

It does not make economical sense to buy a 5-slots garage for the primary reason to get "cheap" fuel. That'd be very expensive fuel. But it is cool to have an own fuel pump. :-)

Personally, the cheap fuel is not the main focus when having a bigger garage but the fact that you can just refuel there.
