Monitor sleep mode
Does anyone have an idea on how to stop the monitor from sleep (power save) mode without turning the powersave mode off?

There is a check mark in the options to turn off the sleep alert. I have it off all the time.

1) Right click on your desktop.
2) Select "Personalize"
3) Screen Saver
4) Change Power Settings
5) Choose when to turn off the Display
6) Turn off the Display = Never

If this isn't what you need, let us know...

Thanks John, But I have set up the monitor to sleep after 30 mins. What I'm trying to acheive is to be able to leave the sleep mode on, but somehow let ets2 not let it into that mode. I have had numerous accidents now from the monitor switching off as I'm half way through a turn... I guess I'll just turn it off manually when I am AFK. Probably the simplest way.

If it is an LCD/LED, you don't even have to turn it off. Just set a screen saver and you are all set.

Most modern LCD displays draw very little power, so if it is a desktop display, I would not even bother with sleep mode at all. I have a Dell 24" 1080p 60Hz monitor from 2009, and even it uses very little power compared to my other components.

Ok. Will the screen saver start the same as the sleep mode? The problem is when I am driving for a long period, the pc thinks that there is no activity (after 30 mins) , and goes into sleep mode, I think screen saver would act the same.
Just thinking out loud, my mouse is disabled by the controler, so maybe thats why is going into that power down mode after a while.

I had the same problem with Just Cause 2, can't nail it down at all, maybe that's because I use a X360 controller and Windows doesn't consider it like a keyboard or mouse so he thinks its ok to let the monitor go in sleep mode. But for ETS2, there's so many things to control that I end up using the keyboard for a lot of stuff while driving, a X360 controller doesn't have enough buttons and levers to control the whole game, I wish there was a better controller with more buttons, but I guess it would be not very comfy and too big to play with for long periods of time.

Yep, I'm actually using a CH flight yoke, CH throttle quadrant for buttons, and thrustmaster rudder pedals for accelerator and brake! Bit of a mis-mash, but it works. Saves forking out $550 for a wheel setup.
