I DO NOT HAVE THE MOD FOLDER (resolved)

NOTE: this has been resolved. on windows 8 do not go into the steam folder go straight from my documents

i have many mods downloaded. when i go into my euro truck simulator 2 file i do not have a mod folder. is this coz i installed it on steam? i tried adding a mod folder but i dont even have the files named profile ect. i am on windows 8. i install my games in th edefault steam path which is

this pc > windows c drive > programfiles x86 > steam > steamapps > common > euro truck simulator 2

inside there. all i have is a folder called bin and one called licences. these folders only have txt ddocuments and script files. apart from that i have other files in the ets2 folder which are .scs files. these are called base.scs base_cfg.scs core.scs def.scs locale.scs and there is a read me file which has instructions on how to install music ect. can someone please help me and say y i dont have a mod folder. NOTE: even when i mkae the mod folder myself it doesnt work. thanks in advance

go to.....the ets2 folder which is in your own data folder (or whatever it is called....don't have a english win installation)...there you will find it (or use the search of windows to find it ;) )

Its in your My Documents folder. There's another called "Euro Truck Simulator 2" - if a "mod" folder doesn't exist, well.. create it. =P

In \Documents\Euro Truck Simulator 2\ make a folder called "mod" (without quotes) and put the mod's .scs files there. Open game, edit profile, enable mods.

i have the same problem .i have reinstalled steam edition.and no mod folder in docs folder just music online.screen shot.profiles.folders.
also have files back up .game log.global controls.live streams.mods info.net .news.previw config.read me rtf.
i have created a mod folder and put the mods in it but nothing shows up when i start the game ...any help please

Steam does not provide you with a mods folder, by adding a folder called mods doesn't help.

However, I personally do have mods folder which does work. The way it works is, I've got Euro Truck Simulator 2 non-steam version and steam version of Euro Truck Simulator 2. They use the exact same folder. I can play steam version of the game with promods, jazzycat stuff, any mod I want

Its in your My Documents folder. There's another called "Euro Truck Simulator 2" - if a "mod" folder doesn't exist, well.. create it. =P
