Where do "you" assign your skill points and why?
So I'm just a bit curious how others are assigning their skill points and why you choose to assign them in the order that you do.

Anybody care to explain their choices and reasoning for choosing those skill point assignments?

Nope do not care to share why I do what I do to you.

i have been playing for 15 hours and firstly i put one skill point in each category(except eco) so that i unlocked all possible jobs, and maximize my XP income at the same time. From now on, it doesn't really matter. I keep putting points in the special substances category so as to unlock all six. This is the most efficient way to do it i think, i always want to have a great-paying job at the city i am at, at all times.

Put a few points into Long Distance so your drivers can get more lucrative jobs. Next find one or two kinds of cargo that their home city offers, e.g. ADR and Fragile and put a few points into those, then perhaps switch to "balanced". Eco Driver doesn't do anything for A.I. drivers as far as I know though.
Regarding Long Distance some players choose not to max it out. The drivers may not get as high paying jobs, but they'll be able to accept new jobs faster since they won't be occupied by a delivery for as long.

First I put my first 5 skill points in Long Distance as the realy pay a lot. Next I put them in Fragile Cargo as they are light but still pay a good amount. After that I woulp put them in ADR, then High Value, Eco Driving and lastly Just in time

Later on as you level up, where you put your points will become less relevant (to me at least). By level 37 or so, all your skills will be maxxed out anyway :)

To answer a question before it is asked - yes you can continue driving and enjoying the game, earning money even after all your skills are at max. I have even seen people reporting they're level 100+ in the game and they're still playing it.

I put one in each category except the fuel one first. That opened up all the different types of hauling jobs. Then I took long distance driving to 4, then worked on the others, again except for fuel, till they were maxed. Finished up Long Distance, then maxed out the fuel.

Now, just after maxing out all my skills, I own 12 garages with 5 slots each, have a truck and driver in each slot, and make about 750 - 1 million a day.

Fun game. :)

When I start a new profile, I always put my first points into ADR (just my quirk). I believe that it is more important for me to be able to haul all kinds of loads rather than longer distances at first. Shorter routes, but having many of them, may bring you more money than 1 single long route.

After that I start putting them into other skills, but Long Distance gets 2 points for every 1 point I put in other skills.
