1.9.22 Braking Intensity is TOOO LOW..!!!
Is there somehow a way to increase the braking intensity from outside the game because my ingame braking intensity is full and i want it harder than that. It takes a while to come to a complete hault. The brakes were all good before the patch 1.9.
Any help wud be appreciated.

Options, > Gameplay :) 4th option down is a slider for braing intensity :P use trial and error to find where you like it.

he said he had it at full, hard too read for seom people here

It also depends on your truck, and what kind of load youre carrying.

Try finding a mod to increase the breaking power if you believe its too low for you..

The Braking itensity is too low even without a load.

So i guess i'll have to find some mod to increase it.!!

First off folks, real world truck brakes will NEVER stop a bobtail on a dime. Let alone a fully loaded semi/truck. Newton's first law. That is why so many 4 wheelers get their trunks pushed up inside their back seats. Because no truck in the world can stop as fast as a 4 wheeler. This is a SIMULATOR. Not some high tech geek machine that has fantasy writen all over it. You have to plan your stops, begin stopping long before you would in a 4 wheeler. If you think it's bad in stock mode, try real world physic's. That should scare the bejesus out of you. LOL AND NEVER THINK A REAL WORLD TRUCK CAN STOP THAT FAST, YOU WOULDN'T LIKELY SURVIVE THE ATTEMPT!

this game is pretty fake though cause if you did slam on your brakes on a brand new truck you would screech down the road and leave rubber on the pavement

I Agree but the brakes were much harder in the previous patch than 1.9.
I guess its because of the new physics introduced by the SCS.

What kind of controler do you use? I have brake intensity less then halfway up and have no problems to stop using a G27 wheel.

I noticed it too VeNn, had to turn it up and take it easy.

I use a Genius Speed Wheel 5 PRO and it has no software to calibrate it for the game. Ingame settings is all what you have unlike the logitech.
Planning to buy Driving Force GT soon.

Ya i guess i'll have to do the same.

Yea, I was thinking in the line of some saturation setting on the brakepedal you could look at, but no luck then. Keep a good distance to cars and use the enginebrake to help slow down, it helps..

Yeah, it's a truck, not a Ferrari. Increase your following distances to proper length, and learn the timing that a truck takes. Many real world truck drivers even with experience still get in trouble if a car cuts them off or weather goes bad - there are no guarantees that you will always be able to stop in time.

The new wheel you're getting will give you more control, but it's still a huge truck and it needs to be driven as such.

Ya i'll try that!!

@ThogmarJones
Ya i know its not a ferrari but i think the brakes are still low as compared to a real life truck!!
Anyways I'll get use to it and learn to drive that way!
