I know Scania and Volvo have very good trucks but what about Daf and Majestic which one is better?

I-shift and Opticruise. In reality - not that bad. Better than ZF AS-Tronic, or that Powershit.
Besides, Scania drives well. :)

Why do you need 730 hp?

Heavy haulage, haulage in difficult terrain, like mountains, not necessary with heavy cargo.

Yes. I don't mean special purpose chassis, like timber trucks or specialized heavy-haulage (up to 250 tonnes) ones.

Soviet (now Ukranian) KrAZ-255 was used to tow aircrafts. You want to know it's engine power and torque? Well, I hope you're seating tight: 240 HP, and 880 NM.

they are not gut less mabie over priced I dont remember but shure they can pull

DAF daf is better, I personally don't like Majestic, it's more of my own opininon though

I want to preface this by saying that, currently, I'm driving a MAN in the game.

That said, I've also had the opportunity to drive both Majestic and DAF, mostly through the loaner trucks you get with the early contracts (and I've done lots of them, mind). In short, of the two, I am a fan of DAF. I just like their (DAF's) vehicles better, better internal layout, aesthetically it's what I enjoy more. In fact, when I get enough money, I'm looking to probably switch out my cheap MAN for a DAF as my personal ride as I use the MAN for my AI drivers.

Build up your garages and employees and own them all. I have garages that just hold the top of the line trucks from each manufacturer and I switch between them as the mood suits me. I'm also comparing the driveability of the different axle combinations. In the beginning of the game I would try out basic trucks and then give them to employees and try something else. I did enjoy and run the Renault Route 66 Magnum for the longest of any one truck during the main time when I did long runs and stacked money for expanding. But perhaps that's because I'm from the states and enjoyed the Route 66 paint scheme. Any of the trucks will get the job done with HP being king if you like to haul heavy loads on 2 lane highways with curves and climbs (my favorite and I disregard the GPS route to run them). So its really about aesthetics and what appeals to you. Between DAF and Merc I prefer the Merc (Essential mod so it has the real Merc emblem). Aesthetically, I'm just not a fan of the DAF or its dashes and layout, but I've run loads with it and it was fine. See what appeals to you, and you can buy one and run a short run with it and then go back to a saved game and buy the other. Find a truck you enjoy when you log the long runs to build your trucking empire, :). Once you're a trucking millionaire you can do anything you like whenever you like.

Consequently,I actually have a desire to depart my cubicle farm and truck for real, but with the economy being what it is I'm riding it out until the corporation downsizes and closes our center (package money for commercial license school yeah). This game has been quite a lot of fun for me to pass the time in between and still get a fix. Only downside is I think I prefer the European trucks/trailers to how we do it here in the states. Of course, off time on any OTR runs will certainly be nicer in American trucks with all that extra space inside. Keep on trucking! :)

My Daf E6 460 hp does the job.I have an torque mod installed(update 1.24)but even without this mod my Daf does the job.Mercedes are great too,but i prefer the Daf.

Personally,i actual drive a 460 hp Daf Euro 6.Im on a 24 tons pipeline delivery and im gonna say my Daf moves that good.Mercedes drives good,but it's not pulling like my Daf.
