As far as I know, there's no way, at all, to change your home town (apart from re-starting with a new profile)
You can jump between garages, but can't change the home one.

No you can't change your hometown, the only way is to start a new profile, sorry but thats the way it is.

Yea that would be cool if you could move from a one city to another, and i know you can travel between garages. but if you can sell one of your garages it had been great.

it makes absolutely no difference where your home garage is. Once you leave it, you may never see it again anyway.

The only real difference I can think of is the license plates. I built my first garage in Kiel, as this was the closest city to my home country (Denmark) in the SCS map. I later downloaded the Promods map and now have a garage in Copenhagen (København), Denmark. But... if I buy a new truck to drive, it will have German plates because Kiel is still my base. If I buy it for one of my Copenhagen-based drivers, it'll have Danish plates, but as soon as I choose to get behind the wheel myself, the truck gets re-registered to German plates.

license plates don't matter anymore either. With World of Trucks you can custom make your license plate from any country you want in the game.

You can change where you headquarters is located. Just move yourself from your current garage to the one you want your HQ to be.
