Turn off engine?
So in the keybindings it says "E" to turn on/off engine. But turning it off does not work. The engine starts and stays on. Only way is to cut power or stall the engine.

So is the key description wrong or is this a bug?

(I have turned off automatic ignition/motor start)

I have a wheel and pedals now.
When I was on the keyboard and mouse, I had the engine start with the "Z" key.
Seems to work fine for me.
Turns it on, turns it off.

E also works perfectly here.

I can see you have edited your original post ..
Is this an addition to what you first wrote?
For otherwise, neop could be the cause of the problem, especially if you do not have deadzone on certain control devices.

There is two different keys that you map to your button box if you have one, or a controller:
'Engine start/stop' and 'Electricity Start/stop'.

I have the 'Engine Electricity' primed with a DPDT which has a blue led status light and is
activated by a key. One side of the toggle has the key wired to it, the other has the 5v for the led. The key will not activate unless the toggle is on showing the led.

The 'engine start/stop' is an actual ignition key, but the key only starts the engine.
In order to shut down and stop the engine, I have to cut electricity to it, using the toggle.

All in all, I have one DPDT toggle and two ignition keys.

I've always blamed my G29's red rotating dial.

I have a classic ignition key on my button box. It has three positions Off/1/2. I wanted it to turn on electrics on 1, engine on 2 and vice versa. So that it turns off engine, when i switch it back from 2 to 1 but keeps the electric running. But nevermind. Now i have to switch it all the way back to "off" in order to turn off engine and electric. Thas okay for me.

Thanks for the replies.

np's you're welcome. :104:
..and yeah, you need to wire a diode into it.

I have two button boxes that I use with ets2, also use them with assettocorsa.
