Too many toll booths

Spain and Italy has too many toll booths. Its not even the money aspect its just that they are littered all over the place and when you get to speed then you have to stop at a toll booth again.

This kind of just makes me to just not want to even drive in Spain and Italy maybe even France

Well, that is what happens when these roads are either not owned by the country or that is the way the country gets the money for upkeep of that road. The money needs to get collected somehow.

I understand if there is like 1 every 100KM or something but not like 1 every 10KM.
Also there is realism but when the fun gets taken out then what is the point.

And another thing is the AI drivers like to ram my truck often on the toll areas.

But its fine ill just avoid Italy and Spain for which I paid money to drive on.

There isn't even 1 toll both every 10km. Not even close. So if your truck doesn't get to speed in between then you have a very weak truck hauling very heavy cargo.

Also: Drive defensively. I do it and I have no problem with the AI at all.

I gotten used to the roundabouts although the AI rams me on those aswell and i am doing the hard economy mod so every crash costs me 1000 euros. Also i live in a city of 50000 people and we have about 100 roundabouts.

I am also doing the used trucks mod so yes my truck is underpowered =)

Exactly this. It is a nightmare and not fun at all. I avoid driving there because of this.

Drive down the west coast of Italy it is non stop, all the toll booths are on the entry and exits to the expressways. Spain is fine, just drive through the camera gates.

Exactly this. It is a nightmare and not fun at all. I avoid driving there because of this.

When you arrive at toll booth take a look to the left or the right depending on side of road you driving on there are usually 2-3 booths that have no barrier that you need not slow down for (at least i don't) crashed into them maybe twice but its worth it.

You can not really blame the game for troubles due to mods.

Just tone down the toll booths please. Hopefully the next russia dlc wont have any toll booths i mean they dont take care of their roads anyways.

Why would they tone down the toll booths (of which there aren't that many imo) if your problem is caused by a mod which gives you underpowered trucks? Every normal stock vanilla truck can reach these 80km/h without problems when hauling normal cargo.

I have finished the Iberia event couple of days ago and did couple of other trips there and havnt seen a single toll boot where i would have to stop. I use a mod that changes those green symbols to something else and more immersive so im not 100% sure, but i would say that those booths with the green symbol are the ones where you have to stop. Use the next one instead, usualy with pay card symbol only and you can just drive through.

There is too many of them regardless in Spain Portugal and Italy.
