Also, the 90% is highly questionable so I would like to see the source for that.
The flickering textures are only one item that is to get a major update buy the game developers. This update may come later in 2023 - no official date at this point.
Seriously, why should SCS bring in something that only those with a Nvidia GPU can use?
Because NVIDIA GPUs account for 83% of Steam users?
All this tech keeps changing and adapting. After five or so years it is starting to not only mature but it is getting the the point of being almost universally good with far less negative points.
AS both SCS trucking games have DX12 and vulkan support in the pipeline, then it makes sense as a developer to make this work well before adding other features as you then don't have to keep patching for finicky up-scaling tech that is easily broken.
Many developers want to see where this tech goes before getting directly involved.
SCS can implement the AMD equivalents if they want.
Many that play these titles are using lower end hardware with older graphics tech. Many also using integrated graphics like Intel HD series.
I have an Nvidia card but I don't feel the need to use DLSS but especially Ray Tracing as it has a big reduction on frame rate.
And a lot of the people have PCs which can not even benefit from using stuff like dlss as their gpus are too old to process the "better" versions of it or still would it run bad.
Which Btw. Is some good sarcasm from nvidia as they first announced it as a help for older cards to get fps boosts, today it is mandatory to use on new games as the hardware power itself stagnates even on new cards like the extrem overpriced 5xxx.
Also, a lot of people are playing this game using GPUs that don't support it anyway.
So, a minority of users will use the simple OPTISCALER mod and change DLSS to XeSS or FSR.
My point is that two years ago there was a mod for DLSS and in DLAA mode the game's image was fantastic. Unfortunately, the DLSS mod is now paid.
You cannot always progress without leaving something or someone behind. That's just the way it is. I would much rather see both games advance than having them standing still because all players have to be considered.
