Best truck for employees
I already read about the topic with no clear conclusion, so I decide to test it by myself.

Hired two employees at the same spot, with the same skills.
One get the cheapest IVECO, the other one a nice VOLVO (value x2 the IVECO).

It is only two weeks ingame, but the cheap truck makes 1,50x the money of the nice truck...

I plan the skills identically for both drivers, and I will observe futher.

Anyway, in the very beginning better to go wide rather than high (more trucks, more drivers).

You can give them the cheapest one. It coded only to calculate revenue from value of cargos and distance, substituted by maintenance and fuel costs (with random cargo damage penalty, if any). It doesn't even put the minor costs like toll and ferry prices in it.

You saw your cheaper truck gets better revenue because they may picked more valuable cargos (based on cargo weight) and/or by longer delivery distance.

I'm afraid that trying to analyse this using just two drivers is going to be completely at the mercy of the random number generator. The analysis used to inform the guide that kaki_gamet linked to is based on 87,000 journeys by 159 drivers and therefore gave us a more complete picture across which to cross-check our findings.
