Logitech Gaming Software not detecting Driving Force GT ( FIXED )
EDIT TO LET OTHERS SEE WHEN THEY COME HERE:

The second comment on this post has the correct versions to make the wheel work, as the new software doesn't recognize the wheel. Pick 32 or 64 bit as to your OS

So i got a problem as the title says.

Yesterday i tried playing the game after a long time, only to notice that the "logitech profiler" that i used to use to calibrate my wheel, no longer exists, and in its place, is the Logitech Gaming Software, which does NOT detect my wheel when plugged in.

Windows still detects my wheel as it always has, but the software doesn't.

So now i can't play the game, because there's no way to calibrate my wheel and change the rotation setting or any of that.

I downloaded the latest version of the software, 64bit and all that. Everything should be good.

Why can't anything ever just WORK as they should? Why do you need to troubleshoot every single fkin thing on the PC, whether it's a new game or new anything, the first hours or days are too often just troubleshooting the ♥♥♥♥ out of the problems.

I'm so tired of this sht.

Anybody else having problems with this? Or had and found a fix?

I wanna do me some trucking!

Wow, nevermind.

After some extensive googling, i found a link to the damn DIFFERENT version of logitech gaming software, that is the old Profiler, yet the install doesn't work when downloaded straight from the wheel's support page.

What a disaster logitech....get your ♥♥♥♥ together.

Your using the wrong version of the drivers, the Driving force accepts 5.10 or lower. Check this out: http://support.logitech.com/en_us/product/driving-force-gt#download

Aw people still responding to this xD How did you find this post, isn't it buried under everything? xD I eventually found out the problem and yeah the software was "too new" and needed to download earlier version.

Everything's been working now xD

SURE it Works as a Basic Driver now but the Same 510 Driver package in Logitech Software and Windows Game Controller adjustments does NOT show the Driving Force GT wheel anymore..just some other generic wheel. Now I have all these control buttons which cannot be assigned. Clearly Logitech is just doing what they all do which is dropping driver support and trying to FORCE you to buy a new latest Wheel. I have two others in boxes which will not work due to this and they want Driving Force GT in that box two! Vicious! Greedy.

I refuse to buy Logitech if this keeps up.

Just uninstall the 5.10 profiler software and reinstall it and it will work again. On my old g25 that is all i do when it loads up as the driving force. It forces the software to detect the wheel again. Takes all of 20 seconds.

I found this Forum in Logitech. Mutorcs posted a link back in Aug 2016 there to the Logitech WheelDriverCleaner which instantly repaired my Windows 10 bug with the Logitech Driving Force GT wheel. Now it shows the correct Wheel in 510 64 bit software and Game Controller in Windows is correct again. Not showing the wrong wheel anymore and all buttons work again in all my driving games. Otherwise Screwed in Windows 10. No new or old Logitech Software Downloads will work without this cleaning. The latest Very Large Software package from Logitech did not ever see the Wheel.. .maybe it will now I do not know.

The second comment on this post has the correct version download to make the DFGT work and be tunable.

I have no idea why the F Logitech abandoned the wheel's own support like that, as the new software doesn't even recognize it.

Thanks, I just found this with a Google search and it saved me buying a new wheel.

Yeah... Unfortunately does not work again. Have tried the Wheel Cleaner which did show the correct wheel after re-installing the 64 bit version of the game profiler but now there is no calibration tab. Have uninstalled software and re0installed it and same thing, no calibration tab. All buttons and pedals work but wheel shows no connection and won't calibrate. Forza Motorsport 7 won't work with it due to this along with Asseto Corsa or my F1 2017. Guess it's time to bit the bullet and buy a Thrust Master.
