Does it work in Windows outside the game? Does the Profiler recognize it and allow you to calibrate it? If it's old you may need to install an earlier version of Profiler. For Windows 7 to recognize my old Logitech Gran Turismo Force wheel I had to use the 64-bit version of Profiler 5.02 which IIRC was made for Vista but is working great under 7. :)

Try an earlier version of Profiler, as I did. With v5.02 my wheel is working great with all my driving games.

Are you hearing any audio "dings" from Windows when you plug in your wheel?

In the Windows device manager can you test the wheel through the Properties window?
