Grassy shortcuts are not always a clever idea. Due to the odd invisible brick walls in the landscape.
But ramming stuff off the road I do all the time. As in, every 30 seconds lol.
Speed limits mean nothing to me. Traffic lights even less.
And the opposite carriageway makes an excellent short cut to junctions from time to time.
Of course, you can't start out like that. You need to get the fast travel between the 2 furthest cities exploit set up with AI drivers to generate fast income before it's viable.
And a no damage mod isn't a bad idea. Well, sort of essential if you don't fancy trips to the repair shop every 5 minutes tbh.
Though I know no damage mod is frowned upon by all the purists.
But I'm old enough to actually own a car. (3 in fact. Of varying sizes) And used to drive P.O. lorries for a living.
So if I actually want to drive 'properly' I go do the school run for the kids or something :p
I don't think the "purists" would judge you for the way you play so much as they'd wonder why you bother playing a simulation if you prefer gameplay outside of the realm of simulation. There are better games for mashing into stuff and causing mayhem: this one barely even registers collisions and there are no damage visuals to speak of.
What do you mean ' barely registers collision ' ?
