Coca Cola?
It would be cool if there was a company on ETS 2 that transported coca cola around! it was my grandmas favorite drink before she died Aug 15th.

Sorry to hear about your loss.

They would need the licence from Coca Cola before they could add it to the game, and I assume that the cost just doesn't justify it.

It took few years for SCS to obtain the seven license for the trucks brands. Now, they are trying to obtain licenses from tyres companies ; Michellin, Bridgstone, Pirelli etc.

Once they get them, then they will proceed to obtain licences from companies; for example from LIDL, from Shell, BP ,ESSO/MOBILE, IKEA, ARLA etc etc.

Once they get the licenses for all the companies there are allread in the game ( for example you see IKA instead of IKEA ), they will try to obtain licenses from Pepsi, Coca Cola, Lays, Pizza Hut etc etc.

We have to show patience. Everything will be ready in the new few years. SCS managed to get the major licenses : the seven European trucks, that wasn't easy at all.

Hoepfully by the five next years, the major multi-companies on the world will give license to SCS to use their brand in the game.
Yeah but what is so hard? I understand patience is key but like it would be cool to have Coca Cola and UPS etc.

Calm down dude, SCS is a small Company. They dont have the same reputation like EA and other big companies have, thats why companies like Coca Cola etc dont wanna give them the LIncence så Easy, Be patient man then you will get rewarded for that.

HELLO!!!!!!! I have coca-cola trailors and got them in a trailor pack. DUH!
Peno11 Sep 2, 2015 @ 5:33pm
And don't forget they are also working on bus DLC for ETS2, so they will try to get bus licenses too. I just wonder if it will be easier for them to get licenses for brands they already have (like Mercedes, Iveco etc.) or brands they don't have (Bova, Neoplan etc.). That would be interesting to watch.
And not forget American Truck Simulator, which is sure another hard work for SCS licensing people.

BTW, I prefer Pepsi over Coca Cola XD

From what I noticed, SCS got a bus from MAN in order to sound record it, so I guess since they got the licenses already, then it would be a piece of cake for them to have MAN, Mercdedes buses in the game. I don't know if IVECO is manufacturing buses.
Yes, Iveco is making buses. For years, they did buses under Irisbus brand, which was originally co-operation between Renault and Iveco. Eventualy, Iveco bought over Renault's bus division and in 2013 renamed Irisbus as Iveco Bus.

Actually, I don't think so. I am prety sure SCS is licensing products, not brands itself. Which I am sure is whz we don't have Renault T Range in the game yet, as they will have to get its license first. And I doubt we will ever see Mercedes cars in the game ;-)

The reason there is no T is because presumably they haven't modeled it, or if they have it's never been spoken of. The license is all encompassing... when we got the Actros a while back for example the entire Majestic fleet was also re-branded to Mercedes. As was the case originally with DAF (DAV), Volvo (Valiant), and Iveco (Ivedo).

I believe the new Renault T model is planned, but I haven't seen what the next truck was on their to-do list. I think MAN has a Euro 6 truck that SCS plans to do as well? I can't recall as all that stuff was probably originally mentioned quite some time ago.

Anyway, I don't think SCS would go after UPS, FedEx, LIDL, Aldi, etc.. for putting into the game. At least IMO.. Personally I don't see the point and find that bit a waste of time.

In one of the updates when they finally separated the tires and rims, they did say something about talking with the various tire companies like Goodyear, Michelin, Firestone (maybe?) to potentially get licenses for. Well, not like they stated companies really...

I think one thing I believe they are still trying to negotiate for (outside of the Bus DLC stuff and Mercedes does make buses too) are for trailer brands. I believe they have one from Krone, but I can't confirm this at the moment. Maybe Coolliner as well, but I don't think so on that one. There's also the fact that SCS is still in constant negotiation for other US truck brands too...

No chance things working in that way... When we look to the AI traffic we will NOT see any mercedes logo, or volvo logo on ai cars. So... it doesn't means any product. But probably means busses.

Actually, Volvo Trucks and Volvo Cars are two different companieis nowadays. Yes, they share the headquarters in Göteborg and logo, but that is all the two companies have common. The same goes for Renault, as Renault Trucks is wholly owned by Volvo Trucks now. Which led me to question. We all know Renault was one of the first three trucks licensed in ETS2, but it took them quite a long time to license Volvo itself. It seems like even different branches under one company have different licensing policy, which may make licensing buses, or even Mack Trucks for ATS (which is also owned by Volvo) harder for SCS.
