As an european I have never heard of Peterbilt before. is it a real truck manufacturer?
Why does everybody seem to love the Peterbilt trucks so much?
I've never seen or heard of Scania before though. Are you saying Scania is like the European Peterbilt equivalent?
As she, the rest are men hehe

Yes scanias are real trucks, here's a dutch trucker living the dream, driving his dutch truck through the US
Incidently, I also like the Scanias. And I like them because of their exterior look and the clarity of their dashboards. Maybe other people like them for their raw power or for the inside tapestry.
When ATS will go live, many of us Europeans who will buy it, and who never used mods with American trucks, will have to find our new favorites too.
that last part makes me sad you'll never get the real american semi experience (or dump truck) of being at a light next to one when it makes an earth shaking fart and a ton of black thick smoke pours out, wheels jump a tiny bit trying not to skid as it takes off.
bit anticlimactic given they have to shift every 5mph or so i think, but still...
no clue either honestly, i guess it's just the mental image of scania trucks brand from being the target audience, really, only preference i've heard cited were really vague except for the turning radius stuff above.
if it comes to americans: i´d say the Ken W900 or those old Mack cab-overs (no type ID right now) ...
I really like the Scania trucks since they're a legend, they look masculine, are reliable as hell, the V8 engine and the sound of the V8. I'm a fan of the V8 myself.
Once in a while the Volvo gets a spin or two and I like the truck a lot too. Heck, some of the buses have a V8 engine installed where I live. All in all the Volvos do have a nice rumble to it.
My motto: Never late in a V8.
Note: I've never been late in one, hehe.
