can you go faster then 90 KM/h
Just purchased my third truck in the game. I'm buying better trucks as my levels increase. It seems the trucks have more and more horse power but they won't go any faster then 90KM/h. Whats the deal with that? Can you get faster trucks or do you need to use a mod or something?

Turn off the Speed Limitier in options. Trucks in Europe are limited to a max speed of 90 by law and have limiters on them to keep them from going faster.

Go into OPTIONS and un-check the SPEED LIMITER. That should do it.

Volvo FH16 Globetrotter XL 6x4 750 hp/3150 nm is the best solution for comfortable 120 kph highway cruising, very smooth handling even with heavy load (the game version of Volvo's dynamic steering). Its important to have at least 6x2 to cruise over 100 kph in case of the truck stability.Watch for radar sections.

So does Europe really have those radar spots randomly when cruising? I was curious because we don't have anything like that in the US(at least not any state in the Midwest or down to Florida). Our city tried implementing such a thing for running stop lights though, but it was oveturned as someone sued the city because they couldn't prove who was driving the car lol.

One thing about this game that is annoying me is how fines are done, as you are instantly caught with no leeway at all. I wish it was a little more realistic, as no cop would pull you over or fine you for going 1 mph over the speed limit haha.

I always get so many speeding tickets when i am driving my truck cab with no trailer at 106 mph.

Turn off that limiter!! You can pick up a couple of hours on the delivery time on the right stretch of road at night. I've cut off entire rest stops that way.

What do the radar sections look like?
Willow Rivers Sep 26, 2015 @ 9:22pm
There will be a speed camera sign before the actual camera, they are small black boxes on a pole, they can be hard to spot.

Usually there is a sign before the radar section as well.

Dude thanks a ton! I took off my limiter and my new top speed is like 128! (going down hills to Aberdeen) :D

I have the basic Volvo and upgraded the engine and transmission, I'm going about 150-160km/h I'm passing the AI's. But it does get a little scary going that fast

I also like going fast with my truck but I always get caught in Switzerland and at Rotterdam speed traps. There is a nasty stretch where you see the radar sign, two metres ahead speed limit reduction and a camera is only a couple of metres away. :steambored:
England is just infested with speed traps. Watch out if you're going there.

My highest speed is 179 km/h with no trailer in a Scania R730 V8.

I also have this annoying experience in Switzerland:

I speed A LOT in my Scania T. In fact it's pedal to the metal buddy:

Happy trucking :steamhappy::longhaul:
