also go to you windows control panel, open "devices and printers", look for "wheel" or such things... rightclick it, "controller settings" (should be the first thing on top), choose your wheel, chose properties... a small window with some boxes and lines opens, thats the calibration... move your wheel, you´ll see that a cross moves... try stepping on your pedals, see if anything happens... if yes, save it just as it is...
my wheel sometimes wasnt recognized as well, until i opened and closed that calibration...
let me know if or if not it works, and give all info on what exactly you are doing and tried to do so far...

I just looked into the manual. It should help, it helped me.
1. Press and hold Select and start button
2. The red light shoud become green or yellow
3. While its on other color press left arrow or the steering wheel
When I brake, I downshift and when I downshift I brake and when I accelerate I upshift and when I upshaft I accelerate.
Throttle and brake are only mapped to UP and DOWN. I went through the Input Wizard a few times but this behaviour always returns.
