When you spend 5 minutes looking for the city of Ausfahrt on the map
:/

I did think that an unusually high number of routes led to there....

Why couldn't they just write EXIT on the signs instead of Ausfahrt ??

That's exactly what it says... in German.

All roads lead to RomeAusfahrt

When I was a little kid, I used to think all the WRONG WAY GO BACK signs on the freeway offramps were referring to the local town of Wyong (pretty good advice really)

because it will help you if you go to there country even in a game to understand there signs and rules.

exit : Ausfahrt
"" : uitgang (dutch)
"" : sortie (french)
"" : salida (spanish)
"": utgång (swedish)
"" : wyjście (poland)

nor me either, but it helps in a game too. just like ATS has a few words that mean nothing to me, like Xing (exiting). it took me ages to work that one out! :)

Sounds good to me, think i don't want people with that attitude visiting my country.

Maybe because it would look a little wrong to use English words on traffic signs in Germany?

I do not know what it is like in other countries to learn foreign languages in school?
But in the Danish primary and lower secondary school, teaching English and German is compulsory, and French is offered as a voluntary optional subject.
- But that's why we anyway still have Danish texts on our road signs ... Not English, German or other languages. :)
