Premium Trucks / MOD Creator Program / (ATS) DLC's
Hereby would I like to forward to you a number of suggestions that may interest you.

1. As well known, ETS2 and ATS is supported by a great number of MOD Creators (MC’s). Most of them are creating MODS in their own free time without being paid for their hard work and some of them create really high quality products.

Would it be an idea to create a program for these people as a recognition for their work? How it works: This program is on “invite only” where you can have certain MC’s working for you. This is on free lance bases, so they will not being added on your pay-role. Because they are not on your pay-role they can earn money in return for their cooperation with your regular team in exchange for the use of their MOD(S). For example: SISL has created some very popular content so what happens is, you get to produce and sell a new DLC in cooperation with SISL in which he will receive a percentage of the sales of this product.

This way these MC’s receive money as support for their product, which they can use some more excellent work.

2. There are a lot of truck brands that are currently not represented in your game. Just to name a few: “Terberg (for specialized heavy transport trucks), Sisu (Finland), Pegaso (Spain), Foton (China), Fuso (Japan), Ford USA, etc.”. I reckon that your company is earning good money on the sale of DLC’s but would it be an idea to sell something like “Premium Trucks (PT’s)”? PT’s are trucks separately sold as a single unit in DLC form which includes a tuning kit and some special paint jobs. Next to this, you can reach the Asian market that would more than likely, loves to see some local brands. Or perhaps types of trucks that are not officially in the game like Kenworth T600 or Kenworth 100E. Or how about a DAF LF, and I’m sure that the other brands have similar trucks like the LF?

I am sure that American Trucks are currently driven on the European roads in real life so perhaps you can bring out a DLC with an American Truck in ETS2, you already have in ATS?

3. When are we going to see some tuning DLC’s in ATS? Personally I miss the options we currently have in ETS, in ATS. I would not mind to use some extra lights or fog lights. It is possible because currently the only truck that has this option is the Volvo in ATS.

4. In addition, would there be a possibility to add "Military Style" vehicles to the game with a matching Military Style Freight package? It may sound unrealistic but if there is ONE thing being driven in a convoy, it will be Military vehicles.

Kind Regards

AMX-30 AuF1, CEASAR, but especially my baby, the Mk F3 155 mm would be a dream come true for me. I imagine CAESAR would be most likely.

This driving trucks is okay for when you can't be moving your gun into action over rugged terrain. XXDD

Won't happen without licencing. And even then the trucks will be available for free to everyone who owns the base game.
Also the licences are game specific so trucks licenced for ATS are not licenced for ETS2 and vice versa.
The problem with old truck is that the manufacturers might not want them in the game (if there was an ETS3 happening then we would loose a lot of old trucks like the Renault Magnum etc) and also that SCS is only actively seeking licencing for trucks that are still in production (though this might change). However the next problem with trucks not in production can be that you have to negotiate with multiple companies if the company split at some point making the licencing process longer and more expensive.

1. I don't really have an issue with mod creators being paid for their efforts. My problem comes from the complete lack of respect for the license holders and they go about and ask for money for their works in violation of national and international law. I do not mind if mod authors receive compensation but I don't think their content should be released as paid DLC. Likewise, SCS has made the statement previously that any truck additions to the game would be free. SCS rarely breaks promises like that. The only way they would reverse that decision is with a community vote which is unheard of from SCS except in rare circumstances. They're usually pretty good about listening to community feedback on potential changes instead.

2. As above, SCS only intends on going after trucks currently in production(though this was stated on the ATS side of things, but surely still applies to ETS2). There have been older trucks added(Kenworth W900 and Peterbuilt 379 in ATS) but were on a case-by-case basis due to popular demand. Those trucks were actively in use and actively requested. Still very popular trucks to purchase in the US. I'd love a wider variety of trucks in ETS2/ATS, but licensing is a time-consuming and expensive process.

3. When ATS only had 2-3 truck brands, they made a statement similar to "We will not be focusing on tuning packs in ATS until all 7 major truck manufacturers in the US are represented in the game." At this time, they still hasn't released anything even with all 7, but I'd assume this is due to time restraints. It also doesn't help that the majority of their employees started working from home about the same time we had all 7. Maybe in the coming years.

4. As we go further East in the US, I see this being a possibility. There's quite a bit of National Guard activity in the Eastern states where military trucks are actively used to transport military equipment. I'm not sure about ETS2 though. Never been to Europe and haven't the slightest how active the military is. Wouldn't mind driving some EU-spec military equipment. I do feel that it would be a dangerous direction to take though as some might see it politically. SCS does their best to stay out of that kind of attention.

SCS are happy to have mods produced for their games. They actively do not support paid mods and will only release officially licensed trucks and truck tuning packs.

SCS wish to continue with licencing existing trucks that are available for sale in either Europe or America. While there may be a small number of American trucks in Europe owned by enthusiast owners, this doesn't translate into these trucks being widely available and there is no licencing for these trucks out of their official manufacturers markets. SCS has removed American trucks and ETS 2 trucks from the workshop for the other SCS game already due to licencing issues with manufacturers.

There is an issue with different EU and American laws regarding truck and trailer lengths. In much of Europe American trucks are only really used for recovery duty. Sweden does have a higher than average in the EU number of American trucks, but they also very often use a rigid tractor unit with a trailer for deliveries.

The armed forces in Europe don't tend to use semi style trailers, when we see a convoy of military vehicles then small rigids are far more normal.

ATS tuning DLCs are now being created by SCS - subject to licencing. They stated over a year ago that the priority was to establish all of the main American truck brands before then starting work on the tuning packs. Licencing is again required, so have some patience for this slow process.

The SCS licensed trucks are free to all that own the base game for as long as there is licencing. Tuning packs do have a financial price for players to buy.

The Kenworth W900 and Peterbilt 379 are STILL IN PRODUCTION so they still fit with SCS's decision on only chasing licencing for trucks currently in production
