How do you turn off damage?

I crash my truck so much I end up paying like half the reward for repairs. Not to mention the reward is already cut in half for damage. It's starting to become such a let down.

You would have to download a mod, search the internet for one that supports your current version. I don't think that you could deactivate it through the settings.

You can deactivate the damage, but you need to do it by changing it in the def.scs. It is located in the game folder, but you can not open that folder without a specific program. It is easier to find a "no damage" mod which is made in several mods sites. Look in ets2.lt, and you will find a no damage mod there.

I just wanna play man. I don't wanna worry about I tiny bump something and $1k repair bill and lose half the the reward price for damage too.

And it's not us being sarcastic about this, either. Drive better, crash less, more money.

The times when you have to tangle with the AI traffic, try your hardest to spare the trailer and take the damage on the truck. And always, always, go slow through turns and round-abouts.

But remember in some map mods in ETS2 it doesn't matter how well you drive, as often when you get to your destination there can be obstacles on the parking area, which cause a constant crashing of your truck, even on easiest parking mode while you are trying to use F7 to call the repair service as it seems the only way to get out of the crashing loop. Choosing to park yourself doesn't help either as they seem to use the same parking area for simple and driver parking in easier mode. I haven't dared try in difficult parking mode as it could be even worse. I believe it may be a ProMod problem, as Nathan posted it will be fixed in the next version.
So for now I have a working No Damage mod installed as I don't want to take away the extra places and realism that Pro Mods and Rus Maps have added to the simulator.
Oh yes and I am sorry about the necro resurrection but this is happening at the present iteration of the game.
