Then you'll need to use that program to unpack def.scs found in the ETS2 game folder in steamapps/common. This process takes about30 secs - depending on computer muscle.
It's probably a good idea to copy the def.scs file AND the scs_extractor file to a folder called, for argument's sake, ETS2_game_files somewhere on your hdd.
Then you'll need to navigate to def\vehicle\truck\*truckname*\engine and decide which engine you want to modify.
Make a folder structure on your desktop that's exactly the same as the one I mentioned just above. Copy the engine you want to modify TO that folder FROM the def folder you extracted.
This new desktop folder needs to have empty folders in it. The long-winded version is this:
In the def folder you create, make anew folder called 'vehicle'. In that folder, create a new folder called 'truck'. In that folder create a new folder that's exactly the same name as the truckname in teh def.scs file you extracted earlier. In THAT folder, make a folder called 'engine'. That's where your copied engine goes.
Change the torque value in that copied file and save it.
Right-click on the def folder on your desktop and select "add to archive".
Call the archive whatever you want, but use the ZIP format and make the extension .scs
Copy that resulting scs file to your
C:\Users\your-username\Documents\Euro Truck Simulator 2\mod folder and enable it with Mod Manager when you start ETS2 and make sure it's at the top of the list.
If you don't do that, you'll see what we call "unexpected results".
Any truck that has the torque capability of a 100,000hp engine would be un-driveable.
Buy a Scania. This mod will prove a 10,000hp engine.
Apparently.
