Oversize loads in main game?
I just got this in the Steam sale, but was thinking would eventually be looking for things like oversize loads. Is that already in the game somethwre, or is there a DLC I need to snap up while they are on sale? I did a search already and found some talk about mods that seemed not to really work.

imo going east and scandinavia dlc are worth to buy. all other dlcs are only cosmetics.
you can grab both together in a bundle for 9,17€

Thanks for the tip. I already grabbed both those in a bundle - look like some good possibilities. And they do add some bling as a bonus.

I think the heaviest loads without mods will be in the 20-25t range.

But for truly oversized stuff you would need to look at mods, which isn't a bad thing mind you. There are plenty of options out there that will add much heavier/longer/wider cargoes... everything from diesel locomotives and tanks up to massive baobab trees and Siemens transformers. The latter two I have yet to try myself, but I've seen many good things said about the challenges they provide.

There is an DLC called High Power Cargo, which adds more heavy haulage to the game, but they aren't that oversized like in the real world.

There are no oversized loads in the game and like Ursi said the only way to get them in the game is through mods. I don't have any oversized cargo mods currently in my game but I did at one point.

Albeit, it's not mining equipment or even turbine blades but it is larger and wider than the typical loads you get in the default game. I think that weight of that was.. pft, 47T?

I strongly recommend this mod:
http://ets2mods.org/trailers/jazzycat-trailers-and-cargo-pack-3-6

"This mod adds 109 new trailers, 420 new cargos, 470 traffic trailers and over 2000 skins for trailers."

There are thousands of mods to choose from that add anything you want, from oversized loads to removing trucks altogether and driving a car instead. Google the type of mod you're looking for, download it, shove it in the ETS2 mod folder in your documents and enable it on the login screen when you launch ETS2, then enjoy! =) Takes seconds.

I've seen lots pf mods referenced in here, but I've also seen complaints about cars driving right through the load and toll gates coming back down on it.
It looks like some are better than others, so was looking for tips for later - much later.
Still in the Tutorial.
Nice helpful group in here thoug.

One of the most popular mods is definately multiplayer :)

Yikes - I didn't even realize it did multi-player too. Even more possibilities.

Oh yes! :) There's usually over 1000 players on the main server around the clock, at EU peak times it always reaches the 2300 player server cap, but you can still get in after a couple of mins :)

Maybe i'll drive by you some time!

Can't say I've ever encountered either of these issues, if I'm honest. Not saying they don't happen, as obviously I haven't tried every trailer mod out there, but all the ones I have tried never gave this issue. Occasionally though I do encounter texture issues with some, usually after a game update including with this most recent 1.22 beta. But this isn't limited to only trailers as most mods will 'break' at some point after an update. Generally though most trailer mods will work without a hitch... pun not intended.
