Scania T mod Bug

Hello there,

i must says the mod is great i love it, just there is a bug i cant figure out what is provocating it,
i am using the version 1.21 of the game and the mod version is 1.7, the bug is coming after a ferry trip to the UK in the game and every time i try to get out of the port the game stop and go back to the desktop, didnt try any other region yet so i will try when i have time for it but is it some other people who hade the same issue ? and is there a solution for that mather
? i dont have the scandinavia pack so dodnt know what could cause it, thank you.

Any other mods? Is it the same after you update to version 1.7.1 of the mod?

Most likely the truck mod is not compatible with the 1.21 update. Game crashes with mods are always a mod that is not compatible with the current version of the game.

There must be something else that causes the problem. I have used RJL´s T in many profiles and map mods and never had any problems. On 1.71 now, with the acc dlc compatibility file.

Both ver 1.7 and 1.7.1 of Scania T is working in 1.21.1. I use it, and never had problems with the truck. So it must be something other which cause the problem. Take a look at the game.log, and maybe you find the problem there.

Hi there i looked in the game.log and i found this:

so apparently the UK model of the Scania T has an issue, any ideas how to solve it ? beside avoiding uk xP

I'm not sure, but as far as I know (I have both the 1.7 amd 1.7.1 of Scania T from RJL, and cannot see that he named the truck as scania_tcab_2009. I think you should download the new 1.7.1 from RJL and see if that helps.

The model is contained in "scania_tcab_2009" subdirectory, the definition on the other hand in "scania.t".

So you made the subdir by yourself, if I understand you right?
I only asking, since I never had that problems. If it is you which have done that, maybe you should let the directory in the mod be as it is made by RJL, or as I said; dl his new 1.7.1, and not doing something at the directories. :)

I too have a small issue with RJL's version of this mod, maybe some of you have experienced this? I cannot change the front grill without the game crashing, I can change everything and anything else, but as soon as I install a new front grill, the minute I turn my truck on, the game crashes.

I am using Promods, Piva's Traffic, Orange indicators/Better AI bloom, all of Jazzy's packs, No Yawn, More realistic lighting, Replace Icons, Find your trailer.

Have not tried disabling mods one by one yet to see if one of them is the problem, just curious if anybody has experienced this bug.

No, you misunderstood me. I also don't know if OP has made any subdirectories. I just answered that seeing "scania_tcab_2009" name in the log should be nothing unusual.

If you download the Scania_T_Mod_v1.7.1_by_RJL.zip from http://forum.scssoft.com/viewtopic.php?t=151394 extract it and then look inside the Scania_T_Mod_v1.7.1_by_RJL.scs (e.g. with 7-zip) you'll see that the definition is in "/def/vehicle/truck/scania.t" subdirectory of the archive and the models are inside "/vehicle/truck/scania_tcab_2009" subdirectory. The game takes the names you see in the log from that place.

Grills and engines are sort of connected in this mod. Certain grills will change your engine family, euro3-5, when you change the grill also look at the engine tab.
Not saying this is the cause for your truck, but it´s worth having in mind.
