thinking of going for the new DAF trucks

Currently running in a volvo FH as I was going for power and fuel capacity. are the new DAF trucks on par or better or worse than the volvo?

About the same.
The new DAF truck (XG) is really nice inside the cab.
I think it has a 560HP engine as the most powerful.

As far as design goes i like the Daf a lot better, but your question isn't about that :-)

The Volvo is the stronger truck for heavy hauls with the right combination of Engine, Gearbox and Chassis, but for regular hauls the Daf is equal, probably has a larger fuel tank.

On average I find the Daf the better truck when both are in their strongest setup, because for most loads the Volvo would be too strong imho, the volvo with a 10 ton load pulls up like an F1 car.

Just wish the new XG+ had at least 6x4 chassis. But it does look great in every way.
Btw does the DAF styling pack add anything to the new DAF?

The DAF Tuning DLC is only for the old XF models. More accessories will come for XG/XG+ when they come in real life. ;)

I have been driving a DAF XG+ since not long after it was released, having previously done most of my mileage (just shy of 500K) in a fully upgraded Volvo FH Classic, because I tested it and liked the improved view from the cab enough to want to try it for an extended period (previously the only other trucks I'd driven in game were to get the achievement for doing at least 1,000 kms in each brand). I've done 14,500 miles in it so far and I'm enjoying it nearly as much as the Volvo. Only real issue (unless you like to heavily pimp your rig) is a lack of power compared to the 750bhp Volvo but that only shows up on very steep hills or when hauling really heavy.
