dlc_lunar_new_year.scs
Hi,

Just installed the 1.41 update and looked at the folder size which had shot up from 7.3 GB to over 12GB

I've got a file called dlc_lunar_new_year.scs which is 1.8GB in there now. Any ideas what it might be?

I've not got any mods installed, only official DLC.

Not sure why I have them and other DLC paint jobs download when I haven't bought any of them. Will contact support

Most likely so that when you are in Convoy and others use that you can see it and won't get any kind of crash or error texture.

Most likely so that when you are in Convoy and others use that you can see it and won't get any kind of crash or error texture.

Yep. there was a line in the changelog about "Synchronized paint jobs, truck accessories, cabin accessories, cargoes and more". looks like it downloads all the DLC assets so that you can see them on other trucks where appropriate.

That would make sense. But would be nice to have them as an optional download as I don't plan on doing convoys.

SCS seems to think that we all have infinite storage space! :-) The whole game and all DLC are downloaded whether you like it or not.

Now I wonder if I can find those little switches so that I can activate the DLC I haven't paid for...... ;-) :-D

I don't think there are any. These things are more a "you can see them but not touch them". So when you buy the DLC the file will get replaced by the one that you can use.

If they made it optional, that would defeat the purpose of it. Its so that everyone is on the same version, with the same content that convoy needs regardless of intent to play or not. That makes it easier for the dev's to do the job we all want them to do, bug fix the game.

Just had a response saying the paint pack files can be safely removed if they haven't been purchased
