You wont need to use a clutch for either of those.
Only thing which is annoying would be to keep the rev in mind, but I doubt that it matters if you always drive in the first gear...... :w:

Manual sequential should be easy enough

Gear up won't be a problem, it is hard braking that worries me most -.-
But those "scenarios" should be not "real" deliveries so situation may help : )

Need to mind different keybinds for it anyway ^^'

Well... driving manual in this game is completly bonkers.
There are simply no trucks with manual transmission these days.
Last time I checked on websites on the manufactors none of them mentions manual transmission.
They all go for automatic due to fuel usage.

Love you unconditionally : )

You want to try an Eaton Twin Splitter with a range changer on a freezing morning while going uphill with a 36Ton load. That, is a challenge...

Thankfully it is not that kind of games ; )
I will never forget the Sit Back and Relax Award, like if it was made exclusively for ETS2 ^^

Doubt I'll have a long look at driving academy, I have 2 hours in T&T and STDS combined so,... but "One-Shottin' It"
Complete any scenario in fourth chapter of Truck Driving Basics in one attempt without correcting by driving forward (Driving Academy)
Would be my biggest worry to get.

If parking bay is so generous like in "normal" mode, you can leave it inclined, off a side and still score it ; ) Will you jump into open beta if it will get out, right? You will know how it is before me indeed : D

Well, I finished it, and the sequential shifting was not so difficult even when it was needed to go above the first gear : D Unfortunately this "tutorial" doesn't cover shifting and I believe it will never do (it is assumed one already know it or it doesn't matter as there is automatic as a standard).

On the other hand, Underscore's worry is real but there are many chances and leaning out of the window really helps (something I never do) ^^' And I guess having something more than just a keyboard will help too : )

Good luck everyone, course is less flat than expected. Waiting to see more : D

The tutorial only mentions clutch/gears one time and only if you have manual already enabled when starting in Chapter 1. It instructs you to place it into gear after depressing the clutch and then releasing the parking brake. After that, it never mentioned it again in 28 levels.

The issue I had was that I have my shifter setup for 12 gears, in Driving Academy I couldn't go past 6, idk how many gears the Daf XG has that I used, but it was slightly annoying, meaning that for the one test where you have to go over 60 k/ph I had to switch to auto and had to do the longer straight sections at best around 30 k/ph
atst, just about all trucks you can drive in .... well when not owning a truck,... have 12 speed gearboxes.

Went as far as final exam part 1, couldn't do part 2 which I can irl, but I've always struggled with the mirror quality/fov in this game, maybe next time, but for now I've had enough of Driving Academy.

It was less "difficult" than I expected, at least I had the achievement all of a sudden.

I didn't try ETS2 with manual yet for DA, but in ATS, the Freightliner Cascadia I used only went up to 5L/H I think. Might be defaulting to the cheapest gearbox.

Just had a look at the def files, according to that it uses a 12 speed
/def/vehicle/truck/daf.2021/transmission/zf_12tx2611to.sii"
unlocks at level 10 in the normal game.

Figured it out, and not sure why it didn't cross my mind yesterday, but I was on a vanillla profile still using an older button config (had changed that when a button I used for range broke.

I think they did a great work with customizing each tutorial for player's setup and the chosen truck. I missed that bit Reese wrote about because I opened it with Automatic still set, I went to change it to Sequential a bit later.

Well done Underscore ; ) I had the feeling those parking areas are smaller and more strict as tolerance than normal game ones, or maybe it was just the academy feel stressing too much and making it looks more difficult than it is : D Or likely because those are new scenarios : )

Having the academy as a separate module allows to "pause" a delivery and go to review this or that parking then be back with no issues, it is good for anyone I guess ; )
