1.53 Camera Auto Centering: IDEAD
as an additional option, instead of x amount of seconds delay for re-centering the camera, how about re-centering the camera AS SOON AS the truck starts moving from a standstill.

the idea behind it: when you wait at an intersection, looking out to the side window, waiting for the traffic to clear until you start moving, this would help immensly - the traffic clears, you start moving the truck, camera auto-centers without the need of a button press or mouse movement in the middle of you turning the steering wheel and trying to concentrate on the corner / intersection.

just an idea :) maybe someone else likes it.

Feedback and suggestions for the open beta should be posted on the SCS Forum.

It already does this in 1.53 Beta. It works really well. When stationary, the camera is fixed ie looking out the side, 1 second after you start to move, it autocenters. The lowest setting is 1 second. IRL you cannot move your head any faster, so that is about as realistic as it gets. Also gives the option for more seconds if you desire, up to 5 seconds, or to disable it completely ie as it is now.
It also removes the need for those little top corner mirror mods.

I was so used to "Smooth interior camera mod" but as this modhas been abandoned, I have had to work around it. I do not like idea of view centering when truck starts to move, I want to have it in the intended way for as long as I keep the button pressed and recenter when \i release.

To accomplish that we need to edit our controls.sii. My look around settings are set up as Q and E for interior look up left/right (slight left/right) and A and D for 90deg look left righ. It looks like this in controls.sii:
config_lines[257]: "mix lookpos2 `keyboard.e?0 | semantical.lookpos2?0`" config_lines[258]: "mix lookpos3 `keyboard.q?0 | semantical.lookpos3?0`" config_lines[259]: "mix lookpos4 `keyboard.d?0 | semantical.lookpos4?0`" config_lines[260]: "mix lookpos5 `keyboard.a?0 | semantical.lookpos5?0`"

to make view auto center after releasing above "look" buttons, simply set up lookpos1 to a negative input of your look around button presses. For me this looks like this:
"mix lookpos1 `! (keyboard.e?0 | keyboard.q?0 | keyboard.d?0 | keyboard.a?0) | semantical.lookpos1?0`"

This way if I press Q, it makes view rotate left. If I release Q, it goes back to center without requiring another button press.
