- and while sailing they earn neither money for you, nor xp for themselves
You should therefore initially avoid buying garages that are close to long ferry routes.
Of course, garages in bigger cities have a higher chance of your hired drivers getting better contracts (if they have the skill points for them). However this isn't important at some point when you have a lot of hired drivers (you can only hire a maximum of 340 without mods) as they generate more income than you can spend.
Naples <-> Palermo costs € 750 and takes 11:00 hours each way
Naples <-> Cagliari costs € 879 and takes 14:00 hours each way
Naples <-> Barcelona costs € 1500 and takes 21:40 hours each way
Over time, I have often studied my employees' logbooks and here I have seen lots of indications that it is not entirely random which jobs our employees take.
There are many indications that our employees primarily in most cases take jobs as long as possible depending on their level at a long distance.
As I have already mentioned, there are also many indications that employees would like to sail if they have a ferry within their reach.
Here you must also be aware that the skill for long distance only applies to distances on roads .... They do not drive while sailing, and therefore an employee with a very low long distance skill will easily be able to take one of the 3 ferries that is in Naples.
However, if you have an employee with at least level 3 on long journeys (deliveries up to 850 km), that driver will probably in most cases prefer long journeys over the ferries.
Ok, thx good to know. On the other Hand if he travels from Nepal to Stockholm and done a Great Deal that should not that bad.
When you've just reached the point where you can take a loan, spent all the money you then have on garages, trucks and drivers and the drivers decide to take the long ferries, you may not be able to pay of your loan because it's just taking them too long to return a profit and often return empty to the home garage.
And you go bankrupt in the end, or you have to sell trucks and stuff etc... :-)
I used that for my first Garage, 3 Trucks and Hired Workers. It runs very good, but i after Reaching Level 16 i Upgraded my Truck and went from ca 300k dwon to 13k.^^^
Now my Workers start to make less cash (some Sleep) and i Started a Delivery for 50€/km that Profits 50k to not run out of cash and i think i give the Bank the Rest of the Cash Back.
