is there a way to check external contracts further than nearest cities without visiting them?

recently bought couple of map packs and wanna make as long as possible run from south spain to finland, but cannot find any longer than 3000-3200 yet.

any tips?

Check out the setting of the "preferred job distance" in the gameplay options, if it is set to the left you will only get short jobs, to the right you'll get jobs to any part of all your maps no matter how far.

actually i have set it before, that is why i get 2k+ jobs from almost every possible place. but. to get at least slighlty desired route i need to travel from city to city. not a big deal because i needed it only once for now.

I've never fiddled with this setting, preferring to leave it at its default value, but SCS have confirmed in the past that you will still get short jobs when the slider is to the right or long ones when it is to the left (see the post from Max in this thread on the official forums[forum.scssoft.com])

to get the longest trips you have to have that skill on 6, apart from what has been said about the options.

Not external jobs (which is was the OP was about). They are all generated by the World of Trucks server.

Of course you can't generate external jobs, I thought that went without saying.

If you think about it your preferred job length slider is not going to influence the pool of jobs on the WoT server anyway, because they are shared between all users. It might affect which jobs are listed, because that is random and if the list is large enough won't include every job, but you can eventually see everything just by continually refreshing.

... but still nothing outside a certain radius of your truck.

For sure nothing outside of the radius, but in those areas with a lot of companies and therefore a lot of jobs the game may randomly limit the jobs you can see. The other way to see everything for a single company is to drive to the gate and select External Contracts from the icon there, that list (best as I can tell) is never limited.
