What can I do if my ETS crashes after the 1.53 update?
Hi, I hope someone can help me with this issue. After the latest Euro Truck Simulator 2 update, I removed the mods that weren’t updated to avoid conflicts. However, when I try to load my game from the autosave, the loading screen completes, but the game crashes unexpectedly without showing any error message.

Does anyone know what might be causing this or how to fix it? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you! :steamhappy:

Removing mods is NOT removing the modded stuff from your save file. The game might now be crashing due to missing mods.
Downgrade to 1.52, activate your mods, sell all the modded parts, deactivate your mods and update again.

No, you can NOT rely on the mod manager to tell you which mods are outdated. That is your responsibility.

Traffic mods are known to cause issues in 1.53 (even if showing as compatible)

CIPs traffic is causing issues and is waiting for updating.
Hopefully, according to CIP, this weekend.
Any other mods, I don't know as I have managed to sort all mine and they work fine.

Hi, I tried following your advice to downgrade to version 1.52, but when I go to the Betas section in Steam, it asks for an access code. I'm not sure how to proceed. Could you please guide me on how to downgrade the game?

Thank you for the information! I’ve already removed all the traffic mods from my game, but the issue persists. Do you have any other suggestions?

You don't need any code for that.
