Roadblocks is cool, but not always
It's not the first time but the other times, i managed to sort the situation. But now i was in Dusseldorf, there is only ONE route to get in and out of the city, and it was blocked by police and stuff.
I tried to reload the save but didn't work. what should i do in this situation ? it's dumb, i thought that the game was thinking another way when spawning events like that.

Usually you can squeeze past the roadblocks on the shoulder. No good reloading because they won't go away.

The only other thing you can do is just disable them completely in the gameplay settings (which won't take effect in your current job if you're on one either). So it's that or just accept that sometimes there will be no alternate route. Unfortunately I think this is just due to the scale of the map, so in some places alternate routes weren't able to fit.

I'm confused. There's 3 ways in/out of Dusseldorf. North from Duisburg, South from Koln, and West from the East. I believe the detour only spawns on the 46 Motorway leading in from the East. Both the North and South entrances should still be accessible.

The route advisor only knows that you didn't go the way it wants. It won't route you in via another way unless you go far enough out of the way for it to assume an alternative path is faster.

There is more than one way in. Don't blindly follow the route advisor.
Been in this situation, and alwayd use tow to service option. Usually tow to service would spawn you at service/dealer in destination city. then you can deliver to receiving companies.

No, you will only get towed to the closest repair center. That doesn't have to be your destination.

If your not adverse to mods I have turned off Roadblocks and use this:
https://www.modhub.us/euro-truck-simulator-2-mods/daniels-ets2-random-events-v163
Really good variation from roadworks to broken down vehicles plus you get the option of adding tarmac patches and bumps in road.

Actually, the bumps are there in the regular mod, but there is an add-on that adds even more of them! ;)

I mean just look on the interactive map or in game. The route 44 is the one to get out and in. The only one. and the roadblock was at the first intersection (not the second which breaks into 2 ways) and forced me to the right deviation to return to dusseldorf.

The mod has nothing to do with Detours (these block the entire roadway), rather, it adds more variety to the Roadside Events (these do not block the entire roadway).

Yeah what i'd like is proper "smart" roadblocks which thinks of deviation with road signs (even better) like IRL.
Otherwise, i don't see the purpose to break the immersion of the player...

If a major accident/incident has occurred, there will be not diversions in place, just like IRL.
The GPS will not know about it or display any route to avoid it. It is up to you to decide what to do, again just like IRL. Don't like them? Turn them off in the game options.

All the maps are out of date. Looking in-game directly now and I see what you mean. Looks like someone forgot to update for the one and only road in/out.
