yes i've fixed the problem (shame on me, that i never wrote it down).
It was a driver problem and eventually, for some reason, my printer, wich was connected to my pc.
To check if the driver is correctly installed, you have to take a look into the properties of the wheel.
- Go to: Control Panel\Hardware and Sound\Devices and Printers (it is important, that the control system is connected to your pc, otherwise, you won"t see it there).
- In "Devices and printers" you should see HORI CONTROLLER SYSTEM WHEEL and HORI CONTROLLER SYSTEM SHIFTER.
- Right click on HORI CONTROLLER SYSTEM WHEEL and click on properties, after that click again on properties.
-Now you should see a function test panel with 6 red lines in the top and 32 red buttons in the bottom. These will react at your commands on the steering wheel.
HERE COMES THE IMPORTANT THING: Everything should be in dark red, except the first 3 lines (L-X Axis; R-X Axis; R-Y Axis). These lines has to be halfed in highlitghted red (left half light red, right half dark red). If they are completely dark red, the wheel have some issues.
I've solved the problem by right clicking on HORI CONTROLLER SYSTEM WHEEL and choose "disconnect", so that the USB Port will kick it out from my system (did this with the shifter, too, to be sure). After that, i've unplugged both devices, replugged them, took a look at the properties again and the first three lines were highlighted as described. Since then, everything works fine.
ONE NOTICE: before i've replugged them, i've unplugged my printer, too. I'm not sure if it was a part of my problem, but peripherals could make issues.
Big thanks goes to SCS Soft, because they gave me this guide, after i contacted them for support.
Let me know, if it will solve your problem. :)
cheers
THANK YOU fixed the issue here too
Hi, I found your advices very useful for my newbie status on this matter now...so, may I ask you for help?
I have very recently started with Steam ETS 2 by my new gaming device: HORI Racing Wheel Apex SPF004 (steering wheel with pedals).
It is USB connected and recognized in Printers by my Windows 11 latest (24H2) in my Lenovo ThinkCenter i5 720MT / 16 GB RAM.
HORI manager app does not see it connected in Windows 11 but it does in W 10...
Still weak Steam UI sees it as a stupid gamepad only, however Xbox compatible.
But in ETS 2, it is somehow ok mapped by Input Wizard if Steam Input was enabled before.
My serious trouble is concerning with the very lazy steering wheel react making impossible to drive any truck because of 1 second delayed handling on any route.
So I had to resume primitive driving by keyboard only, that however instantly reacts to any control!
Is this my computer issue or more others also met same trouble with this HORI device?
I saw neither Logitechs G29 etc are much better or compatible... W 11
Finally I need your advice: what should I do this case to remove those huge delays in steering wheel only, as all other controls, pedals etc finely instantly react ?
Hi laurentiu,
no problem to ask me, but i'm not sure if i can help
I saw, that the Apex SPF004 doesn't especially support ETS2. They just say, the wheel works if games supports Xinput software for windows. So it is just your steering wheel wich react delayed, right? Does it even respond if you move it slightly a bit to a side? Maybe there is a deadzone that has to be change in game settings.
Hasserick ,
Genau das hab ich bei mit .
ich hab gar keinen widerstand.
im Funktionstest geht alles . nur im spiel wen ich los fahren will geht das FFB aus.
